I tend to regard a person with a tattoo in the same manner I would regard a child that wrote on their bedroom wall. It's like, "you felt your skin needed art? Really?"

From: CycloRaptor | #005 I'm not offended by them, but I do think tattoos are pretty lame and I don't understand why people think they actually ever look good.
This. I'm fine with people getting them, but I have yet to see a tattoo that improved a person's body.

I have a tattoo. I got it because I felt it personified who I was and that my life would be improved by having it affixed to my skin, not so other people could go 'oh man that sure is cool'

Yeah, I think people attracted to magical thinking are the ones most likely to get tattoos. People who identify with constellations and arcane imagery.

I don't have a problem with the idea of tattoos but I think 90% of them that people get make them look worse, it's rare to see someone who's actually tasteful about it
Personally, I can't think of a single image I would want on my body for the rest of my life. People change. Attitudes change. What I like now I could be indifferent to in ten years.
While the idea of a tattoo is not inherently wrong (especially for personal or symbolic reasons), I've found that the people most likely to get them are also more likely to be idiots.
From: Pacmantis | #023 I've always been halfway tempted to get a Pac-Man tattoo on my shoulder, but then I realize that would be dumb and is should not do that.

One of my sisters got a tattoo of her cat's paw print on her shoulder. Later that day, she was mortified when someone pointed out that it looked like our old high school's mascot and said to her, "Go Wildcats."
She got a tattoo and wound up hating it a few hours later.
True story.

Call me crazy but I'd be scratching my head if I had to simplify my whole life to a single picture
I'm not going to go into detail on the tattoo itself, because despite the low odds I don't want any of you immediately knowing that it's me if we cross paths in real life. But yes, it still does so now. Granted it's only been a year and a half but I'm just as happy with it now as I was the day I got it.
Thank god I didnt go through with my plan of getting a Super Smash Bros Brawl tattoo in honor of the launch four years ago. Would THAT have ever been embarrassing.
To be fair I don't get tattoos for hobbies or just because a picture looks cool
I like Samus but if I'd gotten her tattooed onto my arm five years ago the arrival of Other M would make me hate it. And I used to be really into poker, but I'm lucky that sixteen year old me didn't get the 'all four suits' tattoo that he wanted because I never play these days.
But the tattoo I currently have, I thought about for a good three years leading up to actually getting it, and it has personal relevance to me on just about every level. It's not flashy or colorful, it looks fairly boring to be honest, but like I said, I didn't get it for other people to fawn over.
I like tattoos. A lot of them are bad, but decent ones are pretty cool. I honestly don't mind people who get all inked up. I'd get one, but I honestly spend too much money on other things. But if offered one for free I'd take it easily.
I love tattoos. And I'm much more attracted to girls that have tattoos. Not covered in them though. Albeit some girls can pull that off.
I certainly don't plan to be covered in tattoos either, but the few that I have now I very much love and put a lot of thought into before getting them. And it's not like I'm that attractive anyway. Some people may think I look worse with the tattoos? Okay. I just won't interact with them then. Because there are just as many people who think my tattoos look cool (and I've gotten a ton of compliments on the one I have on my forearm).
