Miami is secretly the worst team in the league though. "Team" wise; they just happen to have 3 players that can carry them. If the Knicks played up to their potential I think they beat Miami because the Heat have no depth whatsoever and the most awful bench in the league.
Unfortunately for the Knicks, Carmelo is on the team. -- Still smilin' :> ... Copied to Clipboard!

On paper they are a more complete team than Miami. Carmelo and Amare never play up to their potential, but I suppose that is a given by this point in their careers. Carmelo can score as he always has but he's just a poor team player. He can't perform any of the intangibles like James can. He can only stand out there and shoot. Amare was a great looking player in Phoenix but ever since he came to NY he has been pretty much a shell of his former self. Tyson Chandler also isn't performing. IF they did and IF Lin was healthy (the one guy that could perform was the one guy no one thought would or could) the Knicks are the more complete team of the two. They have better roleplayers in Novak, Shumpert and JR Smith than Miami can ever dream of having off their bench.

See, everyone says Amar'e is a "shell of his former self" but really, all Amar'e lost was the one thing he's good at.
His rebounding percentage, assist percentage, block percentage, steal percentage are right around his career averages. His 104 offensive rating and 101 defensive rating match up with the team's overall numbers, so he's not really a positive or negative force for the team. The only thing that he's dropped in is TS%, which was really his greatest attribute (being one of the most efficient scorers in the league). I don't buy for a second that New York has a better team. -- TheRock ~ Slow dramatic zoom-pan. Doesn't phase the hooded man. "You have issues." - MWC. Pot. Kettle. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'd question this, if only because Lebron is destined to become a top three all-time player. His peak play is simply unbeatable, and there's a reason the Heat are the unanimous favorite to win the East despite their horrible bench and inconsistent Wade/Bosh play. -- http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/pugwishbone17/SUPSAIYAAAN.gif ...
