ugh why do I have to live in Alaska

ran into a really good Ken earlier. it's refreshing when that happens because 3s ranked is kind of a cesspool and finding someone good is a bright spot in your day. anyway we played Chun vs Ken twice, he won the first one, I won the second, all the rounds were close.

but same boat as usual whenever I find a good player. we play a couple and then they take off with a "ggs but gotta go too much lag." my location is holding me back.

I wonder if any eastern Russians play this game. or maybe people from the North Pole

apparently my friend's (milk cow) cerebella got some people hyped up during this week's WNF stream. he took 4th last week and 3rd this week.

he's the guy I mostly play SF4 with. I feel a bit better now about losing all the time to him.

Whatever happened to that skull guy, I never played against him but he was supposed to be really good.

also yeah that sim matchup can suck. random dps can help but THawk's are so slow to start and he can be left so open after missing. Also sim's jump mp that goes straight horizontal is really random on whether it wins or loses against another move so you can never consistently get in on that

I played him once

hard to say how he is compared to everyone else. I lost, but I lose to pretty much everyone in SF4 and I lose to pretty much every Zangief without reservation.

we also played some 3s, and that went about as well as can be expected for someone who mains Hugo and doesn't play 3s that much. 3s Hugo is no SF4 Zangief. I'm pretty sure I convinced him that he never wants to play 3s again so that's cool I guess.

Nee there's this Makoto player I met up here IRL who's pretty good. Also a decent Sim, Gen, and Cammy. he's PS3 only but I might invite him over to play on 360 and maybe you could play him there. ZFS and Weaku played him and he mostly beat all of us a lot.

actually something else I'm curious about is the UMvC3 play around here. it pretty much never sees mention in these topics but I know there are some B8 players. these topics are like 80% SF4, 15% me talking about 3s and everyone trying to ignore me and hoping I'll stop, and 5% FGC news. for how many Marvel players we have there should be more Marvel talk!

Yeah well I didn't want to say THAT. But it doesn't hurt that I get hit with 200% of your hooligan throws.

Also I don't want to say I'm the best Marvel player on the board because I doubt I am but I DID win the initial B8 MVC3 tournament. I think my team had Arthur too so that says something right there.
