I propose a 3s and SF4 night some time this week. what that probably means is that we play 3s for a while and everyone hates it and then we do SF4 for the rest of the time. which sounds fine!

I wanna plan this out though since it can be tough for people to just randomly meet up. I have nothing to do all day Friday and Saturday, anyone else free those days?

Yes. It's the whole game. Then like 2 DLC packs for $10 each or something like that gets you all the Custom outfits. and then Ghost mode for practicing against player traits is another DLC. But other then that yea whole game.

It's the most recent Version of Virtua Fighter. Which is pretty much the KoF of 3D fighters. Where as Tekken would be the SF. It's known for being extremely balanced and having a ton of gameplay layers/levels of play. It's easy to get into and gets extremely complex if you take it far enough. Comboes aren't really as important as they are in other fighting games. Timings aren't as important either. It's more RPS/Mindgames then anything else.

Just the bonus character customization. But you can really make your characters look like anything you want.

Like $108 if you buy each character by themselves or $15 for half the characters and $15 for the other half. aka the bundles are the way to go for the most part. Shrug. Or you could not care about Dress up El Blaze and just get the game.

I'll check when it comes up. I'm really not expecting it to be THAT big. Arcades in Japan have to reDownload the game daily. I assume most Arcade fighters that are on NESTca (Which is all the new games.) or whatever it's called. Are a reasonable size.

at least with other people, if the netcode is iffy you guys can still play

if you and I try to play and the netcode is bad, it becomes an unbearable experience. I don't even bother to venture online with some games (KOF 13 for instance) because I know there's no chance it'll be good.

From what I've heard it's very good.

I hear the Netcode is fine. I'm still trying to get used to the controls which basically make you unlearn everything you think you know about inputs. Like Double tapping is bad and Holding back or downback doesn't actually do anything for you.

that sounds like good news on the netcode. yeah I'll probably pick it up.

I don't doubletap, so I'm cool with that. I do drum but only on supers so I doubt that'll confuse me much. but down and downback isn't block? oh man. transferring from SF to MK and back is usually pretty disorienting!

I've got some of the better well known 3s players on my friends list now, movin up in the world

it's kind of silly though. they all know who I am and where I live now, so half the time we'll get a bad rollback nonsense connection and one of us will quit and they just send me an XBL message that says "Alaska lol"
