That is indeed some shocking news. I've only read the first trade of Chew but it's fantastic stuff. Don't know how well he'll work on Batman but I have faith. Also nice to see Fabok on an ongoing after how nice the annual looked.

I know all the creative shakeups are sure to be interesting but with Batman and The Walking Dead #100 I really couldn't be more excited for next week.

So, I've been playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance recently and a thought occurred to me... I would play the f*** out of a MUA style game set in the DCU during Blackest Night.

I like the idea of Havok being the leader too... except it's kind of strange that he would be the leader of a team with Captain America on it. That's just... not right. Also I like how Remender says Rogue is the "Wolverine of the team" when apparently Wolverine is part of the team also.

I peruse the indie stuff when I'm at my LCS, I read what catches my eye and there hasn't been much lately when I've been there. Granted, recently I've only been able to make it about once a month, so I might have missed some stuff. As for it being all DC, I just can't get into anything Marvel these days.

Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I don't actually watch it but I'm assuming that's what you're talking about. I think the first season is on Netflix.

Did anyone pick up Batman: Earth One? I'm wondering how it is. From just skimming it the art looked great though.

Ugh #$%* marvel. Uncanny X-men is getting canceled for Bendis' X-men book. And didn't Gillen say his plan for JiM was for it to always be around 30 issues? I want Gillen to write more books. :(

Decided to do some Marvel catching up since I'm about 2 or so years behind on that stuff.

Does the latest Avengers series have any particularly good runs? I skimmed through the first issue and it looked kind of mediocre. Probably doesn't help I just got through the Thanos Imperative and Secret Avengers.

Also, I'm basically planning on skipping Fear Itself aside from whatever crossovers in the series I usually follow.

I would probably skip Fear Itself in its entirety, even the crossovers, except maybe Avengers Academy. A terrible event. It would be the worst in over a decade of AvX wasn't beating it out for that title!

The main Avengers book I am fairly certain has been Bendis since #1, meaning it's never been good.

Secret AVengers started out boring, can't speak for it right now.

Avengers Academy has always been OK to pretty good, though there's been a noticeable quality dip after Fear Itself, especially on the art, which wasn't great to begin with.

New Avengers has also always been Bendis and has always been terrible.

Wow, Avengers deserves better.

Thank god for the new creative teams coming up.
