[Into the Dungeon is a multi-user forum game in which you, the players, each control an individual adventurer. It has a CYOA-like format but instead of choices you can choose to do WHATEVER YOU WANT at ANY TIME. Any given action has a 1 in 3 chance to either succeed, fail, or result in your death! If you fail a check and other party members succeed, you'll get to advance. If you die though, well, you're dead. Enough said.]
JeffRaze limped down the Elevator Hall leading to the Second Floor Main Hall, cursing himself for foolishly being wounded in the final battle against the Acid Slimes. The rest of the party trailed along behind him, Tom the Monk, Jeff Zero, DANT, Flip Trigle, edwardsdv, and Pirate King. the likes of jdizzy and FBI Agent Cyclo would not be forgotten.
As they arrived in the Main Hall, DANT's jaw suddenly dropped.

he could not believable what he was seeing.
It was a back staircase around the back side of the Tower of the Mind-Eaters, that led directly to the second floor. You would think the villagers who hired them to slay the Mind-Eaters would have told them about this convenient shortcut, but, apparently that was not the case.
Tom spotted a party of adventurers traveling through the woods and flagged them down, urging them to come join in the quest. He also set up a beacon so new adventurers would be able to find their way to the secret staircase easily.

Looking down the main hall, it seemed to open up into a main chamber with three paths. The West Pass and East Pass both led into dark corridors, making it impossible to tell what was down that way. Immediately to the south was a big Green Gate. Given the past experience the party has had with Gates, it's safe to assume there is some deadly mechanism guarding this route.
Pirate King glanced back down the Elevator Hall, thinking he saw something moving. . .

Warn people about how I thought I saw something move back in the elevator room but then basically go "Errr nevermind" (whether sword succeeds or fails)
Proceed to reach into pocket and take out a MAGIC COIN. Flip it in an attempt to create / enchant into a REVIVAL COIN (basically acts as a second chance / auto revive for self or I can use it to revive someone else) (if self revival stat / items aren't allowed could make it an AGILITY UP or some other stat boost or something)

Sir Jawarius Maegos, the world's deadliest florist, charges down the shortcut dual-wielding a matched set of weapons-grade Begonias. Upon seeing the party, he warily sheathes the left flower and swaps it for a shield made from daisy chains interwoven so densely that they form a material akin to adamantium, only with a much fresher scent.

Ordinary Guy Ryu who has actually been with the party the entire time realizes nobody will ever notice him unless he steps up his game. He takes cloth from his pocket and finally gives himself a distinguishing feature by making a headband that flows with the wind.
JEFF ZERO and his speedy JOLTEON friend follow JEFFRAZE toward the East Pass, intrigued by the findings of the mad scientist whose efforts have paid off in the past.
"That's right, Jolteon. And when this is all over with, I'm going to be a Pokemon Mas... well, um, after a few weeks of rehabilitation."

"bad" Frank Phillips walks straight the **** out of a civil war era western and Into the Dungeon, he grimaces at the party and says nothing. he looks past Pirate King. Something seems to be moving in the darkness.

"iieeee!", something wails, as it is hit by his rifle direct hit [1]! "Please don't shoot me! Don't shoot!", the man screams. Oh, it seems he was just a merchant. Frank Phillips doesn't seem to care and shrugs before walking off to join the rest of the party, not wanting anything to do with this cowardly merchant.

Behind Frank Phillips, Kahu enters the Dungeon as well. She is a beastmaster and looks as if she is not to be trifled with. She takes one look around and decides that green gate has GOT TO GO. "Ifrit, I summon thee!"
"k", said Ifrit. Suddenly, a mass of vines began growing rapidly from the Green Gate, surging toward the party to strike them down. Ifrit spewed forth flames at the vines, disintegrating them and clearing a path to the Green Gate [1].
saberz9 saunters over to MERCHANT, trying to steal some of Frank Phillips thunder. except he's not calling "bad" saberz9 for a good ****ing reason. the MERCHANT shoots him in the eye with a LIGHTNING BOLT from the LIGHTNING CROSSBOW [3]. "I've had ENOUGH!" screams the MERCHANT. saberz9 was officially dead
Mr. Lazy Everyday thinks about opening the Green Gate but it's summer so he takes a nap instead [2].
JeffRaze heads down East Pass, detecting a high energy signal with his signaltron. Oh yes, yes indeed. That's a Glowing Gargoyle with a Repeating Crossbow at the end of the pass. Oh my! JeffRaze quickly ducks behind a barrier for cover and thinks about how to proceed [1].
Meanwhile, President Condor Obama heads down the opposite West Pass in search of pedophiles and terrorists. Not only does he fail to find these, he finds a party of Ominous Orcs instead. They drag him to the cookpot and throw him in [3].
[Note: The West Pass has just been established as a Mass Combat zone. At least one party member must act next phase to defend the passage. Any who do so will be at greater risk of death, but those who succeed will gain Double EXP.]
Miguel de Cervantes XXXVII heads down the west pass with his electric lantern, looking for Obama. He shines it in the eyes of one of the orcs, who does not like that. The orc rips out his throat [2] (Mass Combat has begun in West Pass).
Restandre the elf cleric casts a Protective Ward [1]. BARRIER has just been Established in the Main Hall.
The All American American comes up behind Restandre, hoping to show off by doing some push ups. It doesn't accomplish much, but he doesn't hurt himself in the process either [2].
TOM BRADY, seeing "bad" Frank Phillips successfully bully the Merchant and saberz9 utterly fail at it, decides to measure his own worth. He attempts to throw a ball at the shadow. He is promptly cut in twain with a FLAMING LONGSWORD [3].
Jon Michael Carter arrives in the Time Bubble, ready to contribute to the party [2].
Pirate King takes out one of his gold coins and flips it, attempting to forge a LUCKY COIN. Karma literally appears and cracks his skull open, spilling his blood onto the dungeon floor, for trying to break the laws of Luck [3]. His gold spills all over the floor as well.

masterplum walks up to the party and offers to sell them various magic trinkets, carried inside of a convenient Magic Make-up Box [1]. Nobody is buying, but he has a Magic Make-up Box now at least?

Ryu, the Family Man, looks around. Wow, nobody has noticed him even though he's been here the whole time! It's time to step up and get noticed! He puts on his distinguishing headband and walks over to JeffRaze, the de facto leader of the party.

Ryu is hit right in the head with a crossbow bolt and then repeatedly shot to pieces [3].
'hey guys watch these moves', DANT proclaims. he saunters over into the pass right after Ryu and THE SAME THING HAPPENS TO HIM [3]. Everyone kind of watches on in terror as this dude swaggers into a wall of crossbow bolts and is torn down in a matter of seconds. Wow.
[NOTE: I forgot to mention this before but Pirate King and DANT can make new guys to replace these characters since they survived the first dungeon and it'd suck for them to get cut out right away like this.]

JeffRaze just sorta shakes his head in disappointment.
Ryokles heads over to the west pass 'hellloooooo?' she gets no response from Barrack Obama, which worries her. Even more, there's an ORc with a frying pan trying to cook her. She snatches the frying pan and BELTS HIM IN THE FACE with it, taking him out [1].
Yellow Priest Natwaf beseeches the heavens to revive every dead party member, forgetting that I put a rule of one target per action and also forgetting that I hate doing massive updates. He manages to pull off one miracle, parting the third wall, and then Maria literally crushes him with her thumb before zipping reality back shut again [3].
MegaWantGood trips over his own Tentomon whatever the hell that is and gets eaten by it [3].
Cremona marches into the middle of the clearing before the green gate, stands there, and ****ing dies for not posting a full action [3].
Seplito moonwalks up the steps and then forms a FREEZE spell, firing it down the East Pass. All Repeating Crossbow Bolts in the next phase will be nullified [1].
Jeff Zero and Jolteon move into the East Pass, taking cover along with JeffRaze [2].
Tom simply walks into the west pass. 'one does not simply walk into the West Pass', shouts Ryoko. However, Tom does so, because he is a crazy badass Monk. An Ominous Orc leaps at him and is quickly dispatched with a furious backhanded fist strike [1].
[NOTE: The Orcs have FALLEN BACK. West Pass no longer needs to be held on the next turn, although anyone who wishes to chase the Orcs may still gain Double EXP from Mass Combat]
edwardsdv doesn't really give a **** about walls, and walks right through the south wall into the room past the green gate [1]. A magical darkness covers the area, although he thinks that he sees a small figure in the blackness, he cannot make out its form. It does not seem to notice him.
BIGPUN9999 shuffles in and asks JeffRaze if he wants to buy the 'wound-healing salve' he is selling on eBay. A repeating crossbow barrage would have been aimed at him, but BIGPUN9999 is saved by Seplito's Freeze Spell. Lucky [3]!
there's a flicking sound for a fraction of a second, gone too fast for edwardsdv to make anything out in the darkness. What was that? a scent hits his nostrils, is that smoke? edwardsdv backs up against the wall, trying to make his eyes adjust to the magical darkness.
CRASH! The wall where edwards was standing a moment ago bursts in a shower of bricks as a massive blue palm swats out at him from the darkness [2].
zzzzzzzap !!
after narrowly escaping harm, edwards is blasted through the torso with a bolt of magical energy from an unseen target [1]. Pity, he should not have ventured off alone.
The Main Hall has been scouted out a bit more, and dangerous foes seem to lurk behind the still closed Green Gate.
