I made it to Altossa. What a beautiful city. What a good place to stop today.

I made it to Chapter 13. I'm through a lot of story at this point. Not a lot makes sense. What I am wondering is if Noctis is a new level of "ZOMG BROODING," or if it is the actor's constant breathing and panting that makes it seem this way.

I mean, Hope levels catastrophic awfulness, he is not...but goddamn game. I get his body is mysteriously linked to emotion, pain, or whatever the f***. You don't have to remind me every five f***ing seconds.

Well, I take back what I said. It took beating the game in a mad rush to do, but Noctis redeemed himself.

Damn good game. Some weirdness as far as the story structure goes, and limited city interaction, but it was an amazing bounceback for the series.

No doubt. I don't even need an instruction manual or ten hour tutorial to figure out how to play a game. I can even play more than one control scheme.

So I AP farmed for a good 3 hours and got all of the little nodes out of the way that aren't 333, 555, or 999.

I now need 12,432 AP to max out the grid... the number went up cause some were hidden from me until I unlocked a specific node.

Wife and I just started the game tonight and man it is captivating. We played for 4 hours and barely got anything done lol.

Dumb question but is there something I'm supposed to do to get better weapons? Not counting the royal arms and like the two upgradable weapons that aren't Prompto secondaries, it feels like I've been stuck with the same s***ty vendor weapons for 25 levels or so.

I just got to Chapter 9 and didn't see any weapon shops in the new area so it feels like I'm doing something wrong. But I still have a bunch of dungeons to do.

Yeah, the best weapons can only be found, not bought. Some of them can only be obtained post-game.

Yeah I figured as much but it's weird that there's a lack of good filler for a while. But I keep getting better food so I suppose I'll stop being cheap!

I found a way to keep driving at night. If you flee from the fight and the enemies go away so you can get back into the car and drive. But I'm sure someone else here figured this out through three topics.

Oh that reminds me, I drove past some demons doing side stuff in Chapter 9 and Aranea came out of an imperial airship to help me out. Except because I didnt actually fight them, she was just disappointed the fight was over and left

Awesome feature, though I haven't had it trigger since and now I have those headlights so it probably won't again!

Yeah, same thing happened to me the first time that particular feature activated.

Although apparently something glitched at some point because she was stuck in a perpetual state of trying to jump up and leave, which was amazing in and of itself.

Finally had some time to play for a bit the last few days. Up to 8ish hours, just got to Golden Quay. Man, fishing seems like an incredibly addicting, and incredibly frustrating, venture. Caught 3 or 4 types to start off with. This could likely drain my money stash quick too. Brought Dino the stone, maneuvering around that skyscraper bird. Loving the game so far. Still in chapter 1, level 10 across the board.

I've avoided these topics until I finished the game and I finally got the platinum last night. Other than a few menace dungeons and some random dumb quests (repair kits, rescues, photo ops, etc...), I think I've done pretty much everything worth doing, although I might actually grind for AP just to unlock all abilities.

Even after sinking 120+ hours into this darn thing, I can't figure out what keeps me coming back. It's a mystery to me because I don't think the game does anything particularly well, and it's absurdly repetitive in pretty much all respects. Still, I'm oddly compelled to keep looking for more to do and I'm eager for the DLC.

And when is this supposed Pro patch supposed to be released? I thought they said December. I need it now!

The Galvanades in Costlemark Tower are the worst thing ever. That whole dungeon was brutal.

This game is so addictive....
I mean, I hate the camera and always struggle with it but... I don't know why I can't stop playing.

Also, when is the story patch coming out? I think I'm going to stop playing until the chapter that is affected, then continue again after the patch

just finish it then do NG+ later because that patch is still like half a year away if not more

There is no actual PONR. With one slight exception. Once you choose to end chapter 11, you can't do any side quests at all for all of chapter 12, and 85% of 13

But once you get to that part of 13, you have all the time in the world to do everything in the game.

I despised those god damn bombs. Just awful. Luckily there are resist food to mitigate the damage they do, but they still suck.
