Torment indeed. Whereas I had fun with Multiplayer, even despite all the problems with the servers or other **** like that... I did not enjoy this. Not even after beating it. I am not one where the harder it is to complete the task, the more joy I get for completing it. No, I'm just ****ing frustrated right now and back there.

Well for one thing, it's divided between those locked behind 5* Class Motes, and those locked by Nightmare Dungeons

Depends on the Relics you have really. Meltdown and Valigarmanda hit really hard, but you need someway to replenish your abilities mid-battle. I love Affliction Break (**** you status effects!)

Class-wise, I love using Mug Bloodlust. The Spellblade one is also great

Ugh I can't beat any of the Torment Dungeons, these bosses have too much HP/defense. Only one I came closest to is Geosgaeno and he always gets me with Gush of Stones spam (probably because the only FFX armor I have is Tidus' strike)

I probably should wait until after the Second Anniversary banners and hope I get something good to help with these dungeons. My FFV relics are weak outside of Ragnarok, X relics are so-so (no bursts through) and Aerith's Burst doesn't seem to be much help since I already have Y'shtola's burst.

D250 Gi Nattak mastered. That was absolute hell. My lack of any FFVII mage weapon, and my MVP from both previous torments, Maria, having her element nulled by Gi Nattak, made this a clear step in difficulty above the other two. I still wanted Maria to deal with the trash rounds, but her BSB didn't quite cut it against the boss. (15k-ish per command). So I decided to take an Alph BSB RW and have Maria summon that one, after her self-buff, to become the dps-monster I love so much (22k instant cast is nice)

Here's the setup

Dorgann - Aerora Strike, Mental Breakdown - SSB (wind damage and a Boostga/Faithga - pretty much perfect for this strategy)
Ramza - Full Break, Magic Breakdown - Shout
Tyro - Shellga, Silence Shell (stupid medal condition) - Sentinel Grimoire
Maria - Firaja, Double Firaga - BSB
Y'shtola - Curaja, Wrath - BSB, SSB
RW Alphinaud BSB

Obviously, everyone was using KO resist accessories. Protectga for the trash was covered by a Mako Might'ed Ysh SSB. During the trash rounds, i mostly auto-attacked with the physical characters, occasionally using SBs for Shout and Dorgann's SSB, to increase damage output. Maria used her abilities until she had close to two gauges, then started her BSB rampage and murdered every trash enemy in her way.

The fight against Nattak is actually pretty easy when the Soul Fires are possessing someone, but when they're out, all hell breaks loose, especially if this overlaps with a Debarrier.

I have no idea how I'm going to handle the CM. Lack of medica will be a very real problem. I might go dual-healer with Cait Sith and Aerith, though I feel I might be short on damage if I do that.

Lich died so fast due to his holy weakness, on the 80 damage one only 3 characters attacked, My Warrior of Light's Burst, Hope's Overstrike and a random's Squall OSB. I had two Orlandeau's as randoms in the 120, Lich died before Warrior of Light could use his burst.

All FF 1 ultimates mastered.

Astos can suck it with that AOE blind and silence. Thankfully, I keep one RW around which is Y'shtola's Medica II, so I brought that out for this one. Trivialized that crap.

The U+ fiend boss rush was fun. Basically tried to burst each down ASAP. Lich went pretty quickly, Marilith stuck around a bit as I tried to make sure I reapplied buffs and such right at the end, Thunder God OHKOed Kraken, and I unloaded everything I had on Tiamat ASAP.

Chaos was a solid U++, good difficulty, no stupid gimmicks (aside from the Ultimate Gaze, but that's what mind breakdown is for), just a straight up power fight. Brought Mustadio along since I had his SSB, which lowers everything including mind, and that along with a mind breakdown from OK made Chaos's Ultimate Gaze last for not even a second on Y'shtola, and not much longer on OK (a bit longer on the pure physical characters). Mustadio fell to a trample right around the halfway point, as SG had ran out, but everyone else survived.

Beat the ultimates-

I brought blind preventing accessories for my physical attackers and Yuna's Earring for Y'Shtola for silence, I brought a Warrior of Light OSB RW to use after my Warrior of Light uses his burst so I can try to kill Astos ASAP before he gets too status effect happy. Thankfully he goes down a lot quicker than Sanctuary Keeper!

Four Fiend gauntlet was a "kill them before they kill you" rush, I brought Orlandeau for fire/electric spellblades and used his burst for the resistant fiends. Also went with a Firion burst RW for the instant magic blink against Tiamat. Not as bad as I feared, medals were still annoying to bring weaknesses for.

Chaos wasn't too bad for an Ultimate++, as long as I keep magic breaking him all I had to worry about was Trample, Ultimate Flare and stop, good thing I didn't combine those FF9 Lightbringers for my swordsmen.

Man I need 4* vitality motes so I can get the last magic stat boost for Papalymo, let's check kongbakpao when is the next raid with them...

got an insanely good party for Garland. made him look like a joke. had a Gilgamesh drawtaliating the ultimate 7-hit move (& some other physicals), my Vaan BSB + Y'shtola SSII to mitigate the magic to very little, Vanille BSB keeping us at full health basically the whole time, and Warrior of Light with some crazy new SB that did 99999. thing must be stronger than Orlandu's yet somehow i've never heard of it, holy s***.

Oh my god this was fun. Unfortunately my Sarah couldn't contribute much because she kept getting decimated and every time she's resurrected Garland chose that turn to use an AoE instead of a physical. Arc was incredibly useless because the user kept having him defend >_> Warrior of Light was our main source of DPS... and then he died when Garland had 1/3rd HP remaining and it all almost went to hell. His Tyro died, but then Gilgamesh blocking both uses of Ultimate Chaos was so ****ing exhilarating. We thought we were goners when Onion Knight's Extra Slice failed to kill Garland and his counter around Edge pushed us to no Hp visibility territory... and then the 3rd player's Tyro ATTACKED Garland and finished him off, clinching our Mastery
