That's interesting. It's not the 8-bit that I felt I needed a break from here. MM7 and MM8 have always been tough for me to rank for some reason.

Great work on the progress so far anyway. I didn't get much further than my last update this time around. I'll do more tomorrow though.

Insisting on going through all 30 songs from that game in one day was a horrible mistake, but I'm officially at 138/200.

...could really use a break after that marathon, so I might take it easy tomorrow. Not taking the whole day off, but...well we'll see how many I get through.

lol no problem. I also found it to be slightly daunting getting through all of MM10. It was more of a challenge for me too since that is the game I have played the least.

While I've finished all the main series at least once*, I don't think I replayed many of them... so it'd be kinda impossible to guess which one I played the least. Maybe the fourth one? I feel like it was short and easy... maybe... been a while since I went through them.


*Well I only finished 10 as Bass, but I sorta finished it. I'll go back to it, someday, maybe. </.<



Some minor progress today, mostly assorted prep work stuff. Things that I had to take care of before fully completing the list and took longer than I thought, but nothing involving the songs themselves.

Is there any difference between MM2 Password Theme and MM9 Menu Screen? I'm not hearing a single note or instrument changed, the only way I can tell them apart is that the 9 link is louder.


EDIT: Same thing with 2 & 9's Weapon Upgrades. It's not so much a remake of the song, as it is the exact same song. Which... not much choice since you want all 10 weapon versions, just odd having the same song in two different ranking slots.

Nope. No difference except the tunes were used in different ways. (They were both left in intentionally though.)

2.If you did want the full thing, how should I send it to you? It's...too big to copy & paste and all of it, so I'd have to actually send the file itself.

Um.. Well we could do it a couple ways.

1) we can post our own rankings back to back as we coordinate the ranking. (I would need your numbered results ahead of time so I can figure out the averages.) I'd post a Ranking and then my write-up/scorecard etc and then you post yours before we rinse and repeat with the rest of the Ranking. This would be 3 posts dedicated to each ranking minimum.

2) You can email me your write-ups and results. (Your formatting might get mixed up this way unless you have written everything in html ahead of time) And then I can post the results in a single post.

Possibly the final update before the Ranking begins.

I have Raetsel's results and will produce our combined results in 3-5 days.

I still have to finish tweaking my list which might take up to 3 days though but hopefully not more than that.

Once I produce the final results I'll PM Raetsel so we are on the same page and then I'll post an official Ranking topic where we'll begin to walk you all through the list of 200 Classic Mega Man tunes.
