Hueco Mundo has some really great moments

YGO ep41 - Yugi gets a one of a kind card from Pegasus called Ties of Friendship. Yugi also gives Joey the $3,000,000 he won. Like holy shit who wouldn't want a friend who is such a bro he just casually gives you 3 million dollars. All the souls are returned. I guess Yugi's grandpa was in a coma for some mysterious reason while Mokuba could move around without a soul. Must be because he's too old. Kaiba family reunion so touching it made Joey cry a little. XFD the spirit inside Yugi was literally once called Yu-Gi-Oh. I knew he was pharaoh and called Yami, but I didn't know he was called the name of the series too. Evil Bakura smile too good. Some brat showed up saying Grandpa has her Blue Eyes White Dragon. I like how she said she's the #1 duelist in America even though I thought that was Bandit Keith. XFD now she's saying Grandpa stole her Blue Eyes White Dragon card.

Kaiba Land where people can somehow afford these fancy ass hologram card battles. Yugi will face this brat since Grandpa just got out of the hospital. Yugi won't even use Yami to face her lol. Looks like she's the grandkid of a guy Grandpa knew. Welp I am done after one episode because this brat is just annoying as hell. Hope she goes away after next episode when this duel ends.

ACCA/Youjo eps 1 cleared.

Both have artstyles that kinda make em look different from the norm. Not sure 1 ep is enough to give me a vibe for ACCA.

YS is full blown super intense.....might be good.

I've heard decent to good things about it, but I never got around to watching it. Think I've seen people compare it to Aoi Hana a lot if you've watched that.

I watched it awhile back and thought it was pretty amusing but it doesn't have much going on in development. It leaves things unresolved where you'd have to read the manga for the rest of it. So you could just read it instead.

Finished reading Wandering Son

Was good for a while, but started to just lose focus and direction about 2/3 the way through. Picked up some slack in the last chapter though IMO. Shuu deciding she will be a girl, and Anna staying with her was really sweet. Unfortunately, the other characters got a little shafted at the end, with rushed resolutions all around! Still, it was Shuu's story, so I'm glad hers was complete.

YGO ep42 - Grandpa tells his story of how he became friends with Grandpa Hawkins aka this brat's grandpa. They got stuck while exploring Egyptian ruins and literally played children's card games to decide who gets the last of the water supply. Back to Yugi vs brat which plays out exactly the same as Grandpa vs Grandpa Hawkins. Yugi surrenders and brat continues being a brat. Oh snap in an M. Night twist Grandpa Hawkins is alive. Bla bla message about hearts and Heart of the Cards. Yugi gives brat his Ties of Friendship card. Hope that brat is gone for good. Looks like next episode starts an arc where Kaiba is trapped in a VR game. I wonder if it's the first anime to do that or if something else beats it.

Tanya the evil appears to be going for the jormungand/black lagoon/gangsta audience.

I don't even feel like it's controversial to say this is the funniest anime ever.

You get the occasional bust, like the boring introduction to Veneer episode 3 weeks ago, but overall nothing comes close.

is Kenka Banchou Otome actually going to have a girl beating boys? if so that'll be great. I fear it'll be a reverse harem instead though.

I've heard good things about that Shuumatsu series, and it's literally an adaptation of a complete work, which is cool. It'd be interesting if these charts made note of when the adaptations were of something complete since that's so rare.

Sakura Quest sounds like it could be neat, but thinking about it harder, it's probably about domestic tourism. Which is a shame, because international tourism is an infinitely more interesting subject for this sort of thing.

But uh I'm seeing a lot of LN adaptations here, so it's kinda luck of the draw if they end up good or not I guess.

is tsugumomo next season? because that seems like it's probably going to be a trainwreck.

like it's pretty decently executed for what it is and actually got pretty dark there for a while, although it's lightening back up a bit now and probably not everything is going to stick, but the anime's probably going to get censored to hell and back, and it probably won't get a lot of budget for the action scenes or have enough time to get to the more serious plot related bits so it's kind of got everything stacked against it from the start.

yeah the manga is good imo, but the anime is being done by some no name studio (which by itself isnt necessarily a bad thing) and there was a trailer out that made it look like garbage (which is a bad thing)

I believe there's like small shoutouts to the first White Album, but basically yeah it is standalone. I didn't think it was anything mindblowing, but it was a pretty good show I thought.

eh, the first white album wasn't bad, although it was rather dry/slow at times so it's understandable thinking it's boring (also DRAMA, people are super sensitive when it comes to drama)

It seems like instead of being a straight adaptation of the game it's kind of like what the School Days anime tried to do except less dumb about it and reliant on shock value (for better or for worse since some people liked the School Days anime for how ridiculous it was and how awful the characters were)

though yes it's standalone and probably better executed since it's more focused on the main plotline and just covers the first prologue game for WA2.
