And now... a Fandango triple post. Something I thought I'd never do.

Forgetting whether Fandango as a character was played right in response to it, WWE accelerated its death a ton by acknowledging it. HERP A DERP LOOK AT THIS ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!!

If they'd just let it exist-- maybe use camerawork during his entrance to cut to audience doing it as a subtle nod to it, people would've done it longer. WWE instead was basically saying "yes please keep doing this this awesome!" which as you might expect had the exact opposite effect.

If WWE really wants to kill "What?" that would be the perfect way to do it. Do a bunch of social media segments about it. Maybe have the tron display "WHAT?" when the audience would normally do it. Basically just try to encourage it as best you can-- would kill it dead.

Thats surprising, given that Brooklyn and Dallas made it a point to beat Summerslam and Mania.

This event taking place in practically their backyard, should have been an amazing homecoming where the NXT developped guys like Nakamura and Asuka put on the MOTYCs NXT is known for.

I mean last year's Takeover featured American Alpha vs The Revival, Nakamura vs Zayn, Balor vs Joe, and Asuka vs Bayley.

Kinda hard to top that lineup. Especially when only four matches are announced and of them is Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Aleister Black (Tommy End).

I get Hojo and Shirai will likely get pushes out of the gate ahead of Liv Morgan and Billie Kay, but on the men's side, most of these guys are of equal talent.

Yeah, sucks that NXT exposed La Sombra as a mediocre worker.

People like me actually thought he was one of the best in the world at one point. But come to NXT and you can see that Tye Dillinger is just better.

That would help Cole some, I guess, but a lot of his effective heel work comes from PWG where he has total free reign.

And there's not a force on Earth that can make Roode interesting.

I guess the logical big match they have up their sleeve, is Io Shirai coming to NXT to avenge her sister getting dominated in one of those softcore fetish Cop videos Kana did.

But wouldn't Kyle O'Reilly be the guy you push hardest? Towards the end of their ROH runs, Kyle was the one who did better in NJPW and he got the 30min match formula down for main event better than Cole did.

How do we rank the Full Sail crowd among Best Wrestling Crowds anyway?

I don't like em myself, but in general, people have a positive view of them I think.

WWE will have bought Arena Mexico during their ventures into that market and bought the tape libraries for NOAH, AJPW and AJW.

They'll also have acquired at least 8 current upper midcard or higher NJPW active guys and since the Lucha Underground contracts will be up by then, they'll also make a sweep of that talent.

Well, you can't deny that I've been mostly right in my predictions so far.

I don't have to like it, but I can see how aggressive their moves have been in certain markets. So just by looking at how you'd expand as ruthlessly as possible, the moves we've seen make sense.

The only setback they've had, was the cruiserweight classic not landing them Ibushi, Ricochet and ZSJ. TJ Perkins is a nice get, but he's not as hot on the circuit as the other three. He's more famous now, but those guys have a higher ceiling.

Like it makes perfect sense, as to why WWE would want King Cuerno, Pentagon Jr and Fenix. Those guys would give them a massive edge on the mexican front.

I mean I'm not saying it's all nonsense but I'm sure you don't fully believe a lot of it, particularly when you get into Triple H and Cena and Stephanie ass kissing tangents.

That's why it's hard to gauge which parts are actual predictions and which parts are HAIL WWE KING. I don't actually want to know though I'm just sorta talking to myself.

I was very quick on the decline of ROH.

ROH has always been a stepping stone sure, but in the last few years the talent grabbing has accelerated to the point that they are on their knees. Prior, they just took the top star and let ROH build a new hot guy they could grab later on.

I called Io Shirai going to WWE ages ago, Hojo was less sure, since she had potential to become a model in Japan with her talent agency. Io was a dead cert. Also called Evie to NXT.

Tozawa to WWE got that one right, they got Uhaa Nation and PAC so Dragon Gate being a pool ready for raiding made that move a certainty. Tozawa was the guy who most wanted to go to WWE, CIMA tried and failed, but he's too old. Tozawa was buddies with all the gaijins, move was always happening.


I won't claim credit for any of the big PWG BoLa guys like Rich Swann, because everyone knows Regal raids whoever does well at BoLa.

I'm also not really super hyped for Takeover, and there's only a few matches at 'Mania I'm interested in. I took that day off work months ago because I wanted to watch it live, but now I'm content with catching a replay >_>

Mania is taking place literally 5 minutes down the road from my house and I could not be less hyped for it.

Which brings me to another point. Is anyone physically going? And do you want to meet up for a drink or something if so? I'm actually off work until Monday now so could meet up with anyone at pretty much any time. I don't have Mania tickets so wouldn't be able to meet inside the arena.

Maybe this Year it'll be another WM31 (s*** build, Actually a decent event)

But My hopes aren't that high.
