Large biomes world
Survival mode -- normal difficulty
PvP -- On

We can work together or kill each other, whatever you guys want. Almost turned PvP off, but I thought ultimate freedom would be you guys' favorite route, so I went with that.

I personally like to have fun building stuff and I won't one you grief your stuff, either. But you're welcome to grief me. Again, complete freedom.

But, alas, it's up to you guys. Can we work together to build something beautiful? Communities? I think that'd be fun.

Let me know if you're interested in joining! I haven't decided if I will PM the info out, or simply post it here in the thread. I'll let you guys know.

This works differently. I don't have to, I don't think. On Realms, all I need is your Minecraft name. Once I invite you, you're in. I'll be home tonight from work and I'll add everyone who's interested.

Then I'll just leave the Realm open for everybody indefinitely, but I'm waiting until tonight to start so everyone has a fair chance finding their spots to build and what not.

Edit: the world was open last night, but the biomes suuucckked. It was a bunch of desolate mountains and resources on the surface were scarce. Tonight I'm redoing that for us.

To answer your question what they did to the launcher, couldn't tell ya. It's been a long time since I've played too. Lol

Should warn everybody that it looks like only 10 people can be in the world at the same time, but I can give any number of you permission to join.

As far as adding you all goes, you guys will have to let me know if the invitation works.

I'd advise each of you guys to make beds as soon as possible because otherwise we'll have to put up with monsters all night when we might want to focus on building.

Would you guys like for me to set mob difficulty on hard? Might make it feel more fun since it's survival anyway.

I didn't get much of a chance to play last night like I thought I would. I just wanted to set the realm up for everyone. I don't know if I'll be on much tonight and definitely not tomorrow because it's my fiance's birthday, but oh well. Lol

What did you think of the seed I found? :D

The worlds cool from what I've seen, but I haven't really gone beyond a few hundred blocks. So it's not a random seed?

I typed in "flatland" which usually gives a lot of plains and oak trees, which I personally like. But I made sure it had a nice variety before I kept it. Also made sure that the biomes were large so a lot of the areas would feel more realistic.

Realms really didn't give me a lot of customization that I'd hoped for, but it works. I saw some horses, so it's not totally vanilla.

Ah, sweet. Large Biomes are cool. Here's my mostly completed watchtower viewed from a distance.

A public mine lowers the percentage of you finding what you want.

But if you don't have your own it's better than nothing.

No problem. That's usually my number one priority whenever I start a new world. And fortunately I happened upon a good cave down there.

Not me. I wasn't online for that long, so gathering basic supplies and digging the mine was all I've done.

I still haven't gotten around to mining yet... my life has been on hold past couple of weeks. Not in a bad way, just a bunch of little tiny shit that got in the way of gaming for a little while.

Does anyone here know the general spawn area coordinates? (Press/hold F3 to see it, it's the X and Z axes)

Alright, we're getting somewhere.


House is finally finished. With a chicken pen on the side. At the spawn area.


First floor is pretty basic, but efficient.


I've got my enchanting station on the second floor. Anyone is free to use it. Lapis is in the chest.


Put a Nether Portal in the mine entrance. Haven't been through yet, though. Also prettied the area up.

So I've started a big mapping project, I don't have any maps completely filled out but I've started about 7 or so fully-zoomed-out maps. I'll try to get copies made soon to distribute if anyone else wants to help fill them out.

Maps in the PC version of Minecraft are such a pain in the ass. They're either way too zoomed in, crop the wrong portion that I want, or are so zoomed out that they look distorted as fuck. I applaud your efforts. Maybe I just suck at it or don't know a trick or something.
