They literally handed Michaela one and she was too busy having an attitude problem instead.

That's the pattern I'm realizing with Michaela. Like bringing coffee to the JT boot was funny but her attitude has gotten a lot less fun the more it continues.

but i think there was a significant fear (especially by the way debbie was playing) that she really wasn't going to get a better chance to make a move, and that everyone else in the alliance was going to be genuinely happy to make it to 6. for her that wasn't acceptable, and i applaud the gumption to go for it.

So at this point I'm convinced that Troy is going to either be idol'd out or fucked by a twist given how little airtime he's getting despite seemingly being someone who is going to go far.

Then again he could end up being like Sunday who the editors seemingly forgot about and then all of a sudden was a huge strategic threat that had to go immediately out of the blue.

I refuse to get my hopes up at any point. I'm thinking it's Sarah until voted out, and I will not believe Cirie can win until the 6th vote is read at the FTC. I won't allow my heart to be broken again.

Not that I have a ton of experience analyzing edits, but I think it's possible that Sarah's edit to this point has been so strong because of the move she made this past episode. I wouldn't be shocked for her to kind of fade into the background again now. I trust Brad's edit more because he looks so screwed now. I don't think it would have been so strong early on if he just gets Pagong'd here with Sierra, Tai, and Troyzan.

On the Sarah grabbing the advantage thing, apparently she pretended like she was doing something with her water shoes while the others got into the "blacked out production boat" that took them back to camp, and then jump in and got it. The long story short is that it wasn't a case of "making sure they didn't catch her" as much as it was a case of "making sure to go for it at a time when they couldn't catch her".

And for anyone wondering what "blacked out" means, it just means that apparently the vehicles that the cast ride in between Challenges/Tribal/etc have all the windows and stuff covered so that they can't see where they're going.

Now everyone in every season forward will go over every bit of anything made by production at challenges with a fine-toothed comb.

Cirie is arguably the most popular female contestant in the show's history and did something that was way outside of her comfort zone/expected capabilities. Of course it's going to be highlighted and dramatic.

She is definitely getting a hero edit. She is very protected from the edit and doesn't get NSPV from anybody. Editors portrayed her as a hero in the Varner TC giving her and not Zeke heroic music, they also portrayed her as a hero when she helped Cirie and a hero for voting Debbie out. You can see the difference in the edits between Kass and Sarah and you can see how they aren't showing that she swore on her child. They showed it for Twila who lost because of this. They also hid her when she flipped on Ozzy because Ozzy is a fan favorite and she would get heat. They decided to give all the heat to Debbie to make her a complete villain and the one who takes her out a complete hero.

IMO Brad is either getting a winner edit or a 4th place hero "found what I wanted and redeemed myself" edit.

Brad is definitely a losing finalist. He probably gets one vote like Monica. His whole stick is what would Monica do. Let's not forget that after that confessional in episode 1 a goat was shown which is a clear indication of his end. He had the same edit as Monica to a ridiculous point.

I definitely won't be watching tomorrow's episode live as it airs. Best case scenario I'll be watching it Thursday afternoon, but could even be potentially as late as Saturday that I get a chance to watch it! :O Tech week is my life.

I'm at the F4 of the Genius S4 and it's... quite amazing. I've never been so thrilled, I think, in all my competitive reality TV viewing experience. The characters are in peak form. The story arcs, the gameplay, the overall skill threshold. I'm shocked at how well it's unfolded for an All-Star season.

It's a bit of a shame this is the last season. It's on such a high note at this point -- I can only imagine the producers would love a fifth season, although I think S4 is doing just about everything right as a finale. The subtitle for S4 is "Grand Final", too. And it's really been just that in the best of ways.

I watched the premiere and it was decent. Not a huge fan of half All-Stars seasons, particularly after BBUS tried it and it bombed, but I'm certainly willing to entertain BBCAN giving it a go. I think they have a more diverse group anyway.

Not sure how I feel about the "one player gets to jury for free" 'shockwave' twist. Again, reminds me of BBUS with the golden key. Trying to save the returning players from early exits. But I won't jump to conclusions yet...

I just finished Australian Survivor season 3. Wow. I never get emotional for anything, let alone TV shows but I was legit crying at multiple points in the finale. I'm still fucking tearing up trying to type this. So much of Kristie's game, specifically at the end with the backstory but not excluding early on resonated with me, like more than anything ever does. The season itself was rough around the edges, but well edited and very satisfying, not to mention inspiring.

Oh I agree for sure. There were times where Australian Survivor Season 3 was rough watching, but that ending was just so satisfying to me both in an in game sense and a meta sense.

I decided to go through and make a list of Survivor contestants that we can safely say are guaranteed to never return again for various reasons. This is not meant to be a list of "yeah they were the first boot on an early season" type people because we've seen WTF casting before, who knows, maybe they want to keep topping themselves in that department? I'm also not including castaways who have said that they would never play again, because we've seen people change their minds before, and castaways who have moved out of the country, because who knows when/if they may move back. The list I made is of people who have a particular reason why casting would look at that name and go "No, that person will never be on this show again." If you think of any others, feel free to add to this list. Oh, and one more thing, I set an age limit of 75. I know there's no age limit on Survivor, but let's face it, the older these people get the more wary casting is going to be. That was explicitly stated as the reason Rudy was not on HvV. Regardless, this rule only affected three living castaways.

There's currently 3 Australian seasons with a 4th filming this year. There's also 5 South Africa ones, but the first 2 are sorta meh.

Also, apparently the appearance fee thing for Heidik was complete BS, according to the guy doing the Funny115 lists, so...yeah.

I take it Australia 1 & 2 aren't really worth watching?

They're alright. I mean, they're not offensive or anything, and Australia 1 has a sort of interesting Immunity challenge post-merge. They're nothing overly special, but they're not like RI or One World bad.

Australia 1 had good challenges but the cast was forgettable (The season was widely criticized for "everyone being too nice to each other"). 2 was celebrities and had a really dumb twist that I am 99.99% certain you (Naomi) would not only hate but would absolutely ruin the season for you, even if you went in expecting it to be a bad season.

Just finished 3 last night and as previously stated, I found it incredible and was blown away by how it ended. It was full of twists and many were not good, but the characters and storylines I feel were very well presented. The only real issue I had with it was the confessional editing when players were speaking off screen. The cutting and pasting of words to form narratives was blatant and not disguised at all.

I wouldn't recommend not watching 1 and 2, I would just recommend expecting 1 to be more enjoyable for little things like music and interesting challenges. I watched it less than a year ago and I can only remember 2 castaways by name (one of which only because the name was so unusual). Also, expect 2 to be a shit show that looks more like a survivor knockoff with celebrities, and expect a widely hated type of twist that would destroy the season if not for it being a "celebrities competing for charity with no real stakes" season.

Edit: and I would agree that both 1 and 2 were indeed not as bad as One World
