I just don't take my lifting as seriously as I did back in my undergrad. And even then, that was because I was dating a lifter who had bodybuilder brothers.

Maybe I'll start getting more disciplined when I move to Tampa next month. Right now? I'm satisfied with my 200 lb bench.

Wow that's pretty low. At your weight i was doing more than that. Even after dropping twenty pounds i only bench like 5 pounds less than you 5x5.

It's really just an ego thing. But anything up to 315 is fairly easy to get to if you're lifting ~5 days a week. Once you start focusing on it it'll get pretty easy.

But hey, I've also seen your dirty bulk photos so what the fuck do I know.

My 335 max was done at 179 btw, and if your joints are 'practically screaming' then you probably have some underlying condition because going past 2 plates is stupidly easy.

All i know is when i was pushing heavier weights the most painful part of the experience would be the shoulder pain/wrist pain afterwards that would last way after the workout. It's been my limiting factor since I started lifting. Even so, I still progress faster than shark. I've sort of not had those problems since losing weight and consequently having to drop my bench.

Is your argument that i'm fat or that i have an underlying condition. I don't really know what you're trying to say here.

Its not easy for me so I don't know what to tell you. It isn't for a lack of trying. Genetics plays a big role in this shit so you're obviously talking to other genetically gifted individuals since they talk about 315 like it's nothing. I've been lifting for 3 years too.
