Was Glacier the Sub-Zero rip off that was like the most expensive stunt in wrestling and instantly flopped?

Lucha Underground has been sort of Mortal-Kombat-ish with a lot of its characters and matches, including Mil Muertes basically being Shao Kahn for a while after he *late season 1 spoilers* won the Lucha Underground Championship.

The whole series so far is on Netflix now, and it's worth checking out.

Weirdly, I much prefer Lucha Underground. Mostly because it doesn't pretend to be real and the wrestlers are legitimately very good. Also because I have a huge thing for Lucha and masked wrestlers. I've been suggesting it to anyone who likes wrestling lately.

You really don't mind the cheese when it is up front about it being fictional.

Wrath was Shao Khan (wore a helmet to the ring in his early matches) and Mortis was just an odd hybrid of Reptile and Scorpion.

No, those were the actual people from MK, they just had to change the name for copyrights.

Season 3 isn't, though season 3 technically isn't over

I love how Bobby Heenan pointed out how dumb it was for them to steal priceless artifacts on live television. He just would not play along with that storyline.
