11/20 spoilers

Ok I've given Ryuji some crap pretty much throughout this game, but holy shit that smirk at the end of the animated cutscene is easily the most badass thing to come out of this game so far. Also, I am absolute SHOCKED about what Akechi did here. Literally no way I could ever have seen this coming.

And on a slightly more serious note I can't comment much yet, but I am pretty hyped for wherever this is going from here.

Palace 5 is really long but 4 is the only one to cause me actual fatigue. The middle of the 4th palace and to a lesser degree the set-up for the 5th are the only points of this game I've wanted to take a break. Totally hooked to the point of sacrificing sleep at all other times. >_>

Yeah I do like the gimmicks of 5 quite a bit (except for the overloading arms part). There's a serious puzzle in there too. 4 was much more tedious.

yes, the game doesn't skip forward like P4

are there any missable prerequisites for true ending?

no, only true ending reqs are picking the right dialogue options in two lategame scenes (and you've already passed one of them)

is the only way to get reaper to show just waiting around on a floor?

yes, but it's quicker the deeper you are in Mementos, so just camp out at the entrance of the lowest floor you have access to

This game has way less porn in general than 4 did. Joker/Queen is teased at a couple times in game

Joker/Queen is literally the only ship in anything that I've ever felt this super invested in.

Like there are ships in other games like Fire Emblem or BioWare stuff or even in anime or western cartoons that I enjoy but none of those have made me feel quite like this before. It's just such a goooood ship.

Agreed. I'm at the point where I don't really see Joker as a self-insert, but more of a silent protagonist that I can name. There's really not much that's different between him and Ludger from Xillia 2 in that regard, just that Ludger has an official name.

And we're probably getting an official name for Joker once P5 Arena comes out. Unless Atlus does a complete cop-out and calls him Joker. Which would be hilarious.

I've always considered the lovers arcana as the canon choice.Works with P3 and P4 although in this one it's more debatable.Makoto has a few scenes early on where she's a bit clingy with Joker.Ann gets a few cutscenes where the guys are ogling her and i've read on here she actually kisses you when you choose her.Haru is an interesting one because she is the only one that gets really depressed when you turn her down.But other than that she pretty much shows no interest story wise.Finally you don't touch Futaba because Sojiro said so.

That's what all Persona protags are. It's a subversion of the "player character" that instead represents the player's desire to neurotically solve all the problems the game presents, but it doesn't really represent the player themself. Life is Strange has a much less blank player character but does the exact same thing.

Fair point. It's been awhile since I played P3 or P4, so I'm probably not remembering them quite as accurately. Or the fact that Joker has more voicelines than previous protagonists is throwing me off.

This was hilarious because on my game I got Sojiro rank 10 literally one or two (in-game) days after getting Futaba to rank 10. In my head I was just like "uh you're a little late there pal..."
