I am extremely disappointed

I have died in every palace at least twice so far to some SMT bullshit. There's pretty much no risk of me dying, and then boom, my Magaru is triple reflected into myself.

I think I finally got Ryuji's savior ability though, and I'm sure Futaba will have 1 or 5 of those if she's anything like Rise.

Have you tried not using a Ma- spell on enemies you don't know the resistances of yet?

I mean I knew their resistances

I only have four more Confidants to max by myself. I'm into November, so god knows what will happen.

Haru - 2
Shinya - 3/4 (forget which)
Futaba - 7 (cleared her Mementos boss)
Iwai - 7 (cleared his Mementos boss)

All the others are cleared through the story. I don't have an unlimited amount of funding, but I would like to max Shinya if possible (for obvious reasons). Haru's going to be the hardest. She probably takes priority on days when the other two are available. Iwai won't be an issue.

My biggest concern is what I do about my SP Adhesive 3's now. I've probably got so many SP curry/coffee items, I doubt I will ever need them. Some of those extra accessories are actually pretty good, now that I look at them. +3-+5 in some stats, plus other junk.

I literally got through the whole thing without figuring out how it worked. I didn't get stuck, but I had no idea how I passed it correctly.

It wasn't until the very end that I realized there were two different switch/gate colors. That would have helped.

haven't even gotten into the strength confidant much but that seems like something you can do in a day or two technically (unless its gated or something)?

Maxing confidants isn't *too* bad if you abuse the Fortune confidant skills. Otherwise I have no idea how anyone is supposed to do it.

Lmao I'm on palace 5 and haven't even maxed any Confidant yet. I'm a bit farther along than that statement implies since I have 4 links at level 8 or 9, but I still feel like I'm pretty far behind right now.

main issue I guess was some of those stat walls

I have been trying to use Chihaya constantly but sometimes it isn't enough

that and managing having the right arcana personas on ya when meeting confidants

Finally BEATED the game. It stepped up in a big way in the last 20% or so. Everything from the end of Palace 5 onwards got really good. Finally got that inter-party characterization I wanted to badly too.

Someone should have told me you got a cat companion early on in this game(I figured the party would trickle in super slowly as usual). I would have started this forever ago.

Palace 1 brought back memories of Penn State and if Persona 5 hadn't been written years in advance I would have criticized Palace 6 for being too overt about its commentary on current events. I think Palace 5 is the one that's far more of a Japan thing than a US thing. US companies abuse their employees to some degree but it's nowhere near what Japan does.

The best part is when you go on a Hawaii date, Ryuji gets all pissy the next day talking about the bro code and wondering what you were doing. If you answer "I was with someone", Ryuji immediately freaks out and starts to ask who it was, before quickly backtracking and saying he doesn't want to know, because he doesn't want your secret lover to come after him with an axe.

Obviously this is great if you go out with either Ann or Makoto and he's standing between them.

5th palace spoilers

Ok so this plotline has really been not great so far. I'm not even talking about the stuff leading up to the palace that everyone else complained about either--the palace itself has been even worse. Like I'm all the way to the treasure and I still have no idea why we're going after this guy other than "oh he has a palace and we saw some stuff inside it. Yep." And all the smart people in the party are like "wait guys something's not right here" but everyone else just completely ignores it and ughhhh. I guess in principle they could be doing it just to protect Haru, but I don't think the game is actually presenting it from that angle, and even if it was then I don't think that's appropriate justification anyways.

Then again I've been in Camp "Akechi was right" for the entire game, so I don't think I quite see eye-to-eye with this game on moral issues anyways.

Yeah I know those are the given reasons what I mean is that the game hasn't given sufficient justification either to me or to the Phantom Thieves to actually believe those things are true.

And it may be intentional if the writers end up following through with basically turning the Phantom Thieves into a corrupt group, but even if that's the case then the transition was really poorly handled imo.
