Towards the very end when the victimization took over his entire character, I started to like him a lot less... it just became one-dimensional

But things like him vs Todd kept him good for a good while

Ted's still alive, isn't he.

And Huell is still under house arrest.

I'll never get the argument that people are whiney because they complain about a character doing something horrible and stupid

When Skylar fucked Ted it was 100% deserved on Walt's end

Seems kind of a double standard considering your reaction to Jesse's fleecing, no?

Ohhhhh my god forgot about Ted's "death"

It's amazing how a hyper-dramatic show like this can still do fanservice like that

Totally different scenarios. Jesse's parents weren't in the wrong, they were just kind of annoying. Walter was very much in the wrong, and also forcing Skylar into an awful situation at the same time.

I don't agree Jesse's parents weren't in the wrong. Yes Jesse shouldn't have been doing that in that house but the way they handled it was way too iron fist for actual good parents. It was entirely self interest at work there.

Did Kuby have any role or presence in the final few episodes? I want to believe he some-fucking-how found Walt's other $70 million and is now chilling in Mexico like he and Huell talked about.

Maybe he can leave Huell some clues so he can reunite with him on a beach there, Shawshank style.

Jesse sucked at the end yeah. Wasn't even a character anymore just a plot device to have terrible things happen.

Jesse definitely peaked at Season 3. I still liked his role in Season 4 since he was a pawn that was constantly being traded among Gus, Walt, and Mike. By Season 5, though, Jesse kind of had nothing to do. Jesse's loyalty is firmly planted in Mike now and Walt just shreds what remaining dignity he had. I'm not exactly a big fan of the Todd stuff, either, but that's mainly more because of Todd than Jesse.

I was actively rooting against Jesse in season 5. He was so annoying and helpless, crying all the time. Sure Walt became pure evil but Jesse was repulsive.

Sociopath alert.

How someone analyzes Walter White is a fairly good litmus test for whether or not that person is a sociopath.

Lol. I'm okay with it.

He completes Batman an a very interesting way for me at least.

Joker doesn't complete Batman. There are a lot of characters out there who provide the perfect foil for Batman, and Joker isn't one of them. Ra's al Ghul is the foil. Superman is the foil. Lex Luthor is the foil to Bruce Wayne. Joker is just crazy. And not even crazy in a consistent manner.

So how would you rate the following stories?

Death in the Family
The Killing Joke
Emperor Joker

Death in the Family was literally a phone poll. It's terrible.

Killing Joke is well-written but also not intended to take place in continuity.

Emperor Joker was silly and fun, but the Joker was just a plot device and not a real character in that story.

Joker isn't some random character, see any good representation/episode/stuff of Joker. Anything and everything he does is just a dark reminder that Batman (THE HERO) is just as crazy, no more or less crazier than Batman.
