I'm pretty sure Mother's Day is the bigger greeting card holiday of the two but they both hold the same value to me.

Both are stupid and pointless "Hallmark Holidays."

Mother's Day gets a way bigger deal made out of it, though, and people spend far more on it. I just make a phone call for both, and begrudge even feeling like I have to do that on some specific day regardless of whether or not I have anything to really talk about.

Where I live, people tend to do more shopping for Mother's Day.

Mother's Day. I love my mom very much, and am always happy to have a reason to give her a gift, or buy her dinner or something.

I do the same for Father's Day, but I don't look forward to that one. It's more of a courtesy since he is my father, and it's a day for him. :/

Mother's day I usually send a bouquet of flowers and call her around 4 in the afternoon.

Father's day I usually call my dad around 4 in the afternoon and see how his breakfast was (he always goes to a "fly-in" breakfast for father's day with my grandfather). I don't actually buy anything for him.

I guess mother's day, although it feels more like an obligation then an actual thing I want to do.
