No

Not all perverts are sexist and vice versa.

Which is the option for "It's not sexist if you're equally perverted towards people of all genders"?

This is a rather complicated question for a poll, isn't it?

Anyways, the answer I wanted to give was "Not all perverted behavior is sexist, but some is, and sometimes it depends on why you're being perverted"

But generally, if someone is sexist, it will show through in their perversions. If someone isn't sexist (or is self-aware about their sexism and is working to readjust their views) then it won't show through in their perversions.

option 4 maybe? I'm not sure. search your feelings and come up with what you feel is best.

yeah I think so too, but oh well. I wanted to see what the results would look like, and an open discussion is not going to get as many replies as a poll.

I would like to posit that you can, in fact, be sexist against people of all genders, simultaneously.

gonna frame some examples in a simple 'male -> female' dynamic just because that is the majority of the board. if you are a female, or a homosexual male, or a homosexual woman, just change the pronouns as needed so the arguments make sense to you.

1. thinking a woman is hot = sexism
2. telling a woman she is hot = sexism
3. talking to your friends about hot girls = sexism
4. it depends on the situation, person, and context
5. even if the person is sexist, participating in babe brawl is not itself a sexist behavior
6. telling a woman she is hot is NOT sexism
7. groping a woman is NOT sexism

I agree sexism can lead to perverted behaviors. in my case I rarely feel qualified to say for certain whether I think a person is sexist or not unless there is very clear evidence. since you have stated that it "generally shows" I'm curious to know what kind of metric you tend to use to judge this kind of thing.

Not at all, completely different things. Although perverted actions may stem from sexist ideas, sure

For example, groping a girl because you think you have the right as a man to do want you want = sexist (and also perverted)
Groping a girl because you lack self-restraint = not sexist

so yeah, perversions are not sexist but being sexist will probably make you morel likely to act on them

The metric I use is mostly based on attitude. Sexism-based perversion usually comes from a form of entitlement, or even simply viewing that entire group of people as little more than sex toys - in the degrading way, not in the "kinky BDSM way where it's a consensual act or behavior and, in a healthy relationship, will involve lots of aftercare that ironically disproves the notion that they are little more than sex toys".

Of course, it's a spectrum, and the closer you get to the "not sexist" part of the spectrum, the blurrier the line gets.

So basically, similar to what MZero11 said.
