Well I mean canonically that fight did happen. It's not like the stage wasn't one that was beaten. With Chrom it's rock solid because he's a forced roster too.

Well, right.

I just mean it's not impressive at all because the entire cast does it, suggesting the dragon isn't hard to stay on

Well, maybe, maybe not. It gets shaky from that point cause the issues come up like who the canon party was, how the fight really played out (was Lissa constantly about to fly off the damn thing and needing someone to help her keep balance) etc etc.

Now personally to me the headcanon party is Chrom, Avatar, and a buncha Pegasus Knights/Wyvern Riders cause like hell the Avatar's masterplan is gonna deploy a buncha people that might fall.

Maybe so, but I'd argue the fact that the game lets you choose anybody suggests there was no great risk of falling, or atleast none taken into consideration, which is virtually the same thing. If the game limited you to nimble people, pegasus/wyvern riders, etc., then I'd consider it a point in Chrom's favor.

If the terrain's falling apart that hard, I really doubt ANYONE then is surviving it, even Sonic. The dude functions on suspiciously well-placed straightaways and setpieces that just happen to have not already been destroyed until he's within a screen's length of it. I mean the hell on earth is based on Lara Croft in the first place, something that she's survived. Seems crazy to interpret it as that far beyond what she's ever experienced. Back to Chrom and terrain though, another straight up CG cutscene:

Like... those are earthquakes that are splitting a forest apart, spewing lava meteors that are setting the whole forest ablaze. He's handling it pretty well, and this is so early that it's even in the demo!

That's kinda the argument. It's a case of who could survive longest

And Sonic by far has the most experience with "this place is literally falling apart" platforming.

Green Hill is huge. It's unlikely they even meet in time.

That just seems like exaggerating it though. Like it's unclear on the time frame this is happening or even really the extent, but just basing it off coming from Lara, it's really weird for it to just be an insurmountable instant kill if it's even tangentially supposed to be based off the stuff that happens in her games.

I'd also take Yuffie surviving much longer than Sonic regardless of the situation. Teleporting means less having to be in the air if lightning instantly hits people and she's got a means to climb or hang better than Sonic does. Like I'm just imagining a Sonic level that's breaking universally, and it's so easy that removing 5% of a level cuts off Sonic's means of progression. He's not able to work around a level actually getting in his way nearly as well as Tails or Knuckles, he'd just be better at going fast.

Team Ryu3 anyway. If it comes down to survival, Yuffie has it. If it comes down to combat, the numbers easily have it.

sonic is regularly rolling around at the speed of sound, which is over 750 miles per hour. often up vertical and even along upside down surfaces

gale winds are a maximum of 100 miles per hour

whatever super powers are required to negate wind drag and keep one stuck to flat surfaces at those speeds are unbeknownst to me, but i don't think any other character can keep up

while i don't think most characters will instantly die, i think everyone will be disoriented to the point that sonic can disassemble them

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

Man, remember in M4 when I wouldn't shut up about Lara's ability and how nutty it was, but no one bit? Listen to DC

I think people have a real soft spot for Sonic being the whipping boy of mercs. Probably doesn't work nearly as well if Sonic isn't bought and made a joke 4 games running.

I think his winrate in M3 was the highest in any iteration of mercs, it was just a bastardization of Sonic that did so

(Proof he should've succumbed to Robotnik years ago maybe he could've got weightless recoilless gatling gun arms sooner)
