I only read it as town because i consider it pretty noobish for scum to get a cool role, or a serial killer to get a crazy role, and come in saying how interesting their role is. You're not a noob, and I cant really see an ulterior motive you might have to tout an interesting role, because like Meta Knight, you're now locked into claiming a specific type of role

3 in specific is funny because there are already people saying scum would not make a claim that specific when it is hardly specific. Fake naivity is a thing. Further you've admitted to knowing Ben so it would be hard to infer that you two have played mafia together, so why would scum not want a town player to have strong feelings that they are town as well when that is going to give scum a catch up lynch if you turn. Finally, knowledge of a prior game isn't hard to have. People spectate and read prior games.

And where in the rules does it say Town has to wait till day 2 to play the game? There is no such thing as to early.

I think you're thinking from a town perspective, I actually did ask for prior games to read a bit but couldn't find an archive. So in all seriousness it was meant to be a joke but when people start reacting to it you ride it out and see how they evaluate. So nerfed vanilla town is a role basically where your votes dont count and your VT. It's a bit of a troll role and was meant to be a joke, but people took it seriously interestingly enough. You are indeed correct that it wasnt a specific claim, and it wasn't meant to be but a couple of people did take it that way. Could just be misunderstanding though.

Still that thing about this being an interesting game at the begging, it struck me as something that felt oddly serious for so early on. It felt like someone trying to blend in to the general happiness of the first page, where people were joking around and happy to be in the game. He's only light scum because this isnt a super good reason, but its the most scummy thing that I've seen that wasn't ben trying to pocket me.

The bolded part is a joke because Puns rules say that we aren't supposed to meta. Also, voting for someone is going after someone at least I thought it was.
