For those that don't feel like reading the thread:
Basically, a few reliable leakers have corroborated some leaked production meeting notes for gta 5 from 2012. Rockstar originally had some expansive plans for the DLC. Three seperate expansions that each would have been more substantial than even the DLC for GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption. There would be one story based dlc and two Undead Nightmare esque "what if" dlcs, one with zombies and one with aliens.

Of course they ended up scrapping those plans pretty quickly once the microtransaction money started flowing in and they fired Leslie Benzies, so we just got a bunch of half-assed multiplayer content packs instead. They even recycled some content that was originally going to be part of the single player expansions for the multiplayer dlc.

This is all pretty meaningless now, since its all but confirmed there will never be any more single player content developed for the game, but more than anything I think it telegraphs their intentions for RDR 2 and future titles
