Now they're saying that Netflix canceled the show because they're a homophobic company, and not because absolutely nobody outside of Tumblr watched the damn thing.

I feel like it's getting to the point where every canceled show has a very vocal fan base that whines about their show getting canned. The worst thing about the internet was giving people a community. It makes them think there were more fans of that show than there really were.

Well I mean it would be nice to at least get a movie finale or something.

I watched the first two eps the week it was canceled. I have no desire to finish now as I heard there's no real conclusion.

My dad did VIP detail when Chinese officials visited (about a decade ago now) and there were a bunch of protesters making a scene because of it. One of them said something like "can't you just make them leave?" - there is probably a lot of overlap between those protesters and the Tumblr Sense8 whiners. I really agree with how China likes handling this.

It's my understanding that the show has an ensemble cast and WAY too much going on to wrap it all up in an hour and a half.

And startup costs for film/tv are REALLY expensive. From the sound of it, it would definitely need more than 1 for everything to end neatly.

And again, it's not worth it in the end because the audience is niche as fuck, and a bunch of the people threatening to cancel their Netflix subscriptions only watch the service for that one show.

If Netflix cancelled shows out if homophobia they certainly would not have greenlit the newest season of House of Cards
