I was out of the community for awhile myself until a couple of games ago. Not to be a jackass but I can't tell the skill difference between like 80% of them anymore after my mafia world tour unless they are blatantly dumb or inactive.

I saw you asked FFD first but I didn't notice you voicing actual suspicion of him whereas you at least posted an accusatory spiderman gif at VI.

As scum I usually want to do wild schemes and things but never really have since like 2011 because I realized the team play aspect of it is more important than my own personal shenanigans.

but eh, fair enough you're at least active early and I can't really question your logic any further at that point

Here's what I can tell you. It isn't much, but hopefully it'll help.

My ex-fiance played this game with Board 8 many years ago. They used to love it. They used to hate it. And I was the one who heard it all. If someone were to ask me how to describe Mafia in a single word, it would be "frustration." If I were given two words, they would be "frustration Chris."

I was subjected to a great number of late-night rants over inadvisable lynches, overly argumentative scum teams, last-second shifts in votals, and -- above all else -- getting killed. Death is a part of life here.

My plan is to ask questions only when I feel confident in doing so. This is, after all, my first game. The ex gave me ideas, though, and I feel like I'm slightly better than your run-of-the-mill newb at sussing out scum as a result.
