Yeah, I'm not human garbage. It's amazing how lazy some people can be... really, that just applies to parking lots in general.

The worst is when you see a cart in the middle of a parking space that's like right next to the cart corral

It depends on how far it is, but I also make sure it's not in the way or anything. If I'm near the spaces in the back, sometimes I'll move a couple spots from my car and put the front wheels up on the curb so it doesn't roll anywhere.

No, because I'm a job creator. If everybody put theirs away, supermarkets would eliminate one full-time worker. Frankly, if you put your cart away, you're an evil fucking person who wants to get rid of somebody's livelihood =p

So leave your carts all over. Do it for the kids and the high school dropouts.

Don't forget about helping out the economy by infusing that extra money into it for the body shops to repair all the door dings, and likewise creating those jobs.

I don't like it when carts block spaces or ram into my car and I doubt there are a lot of people who do. I will try to make it easier on myself and park near a cart-station, but if I can't I'll still make the walk.

It's been a good 25 years since I was last at one that didn't.

Besides, I'm pretty sure there's an implied "If the store has a cart corral..." in there.

Yes I always return the trolley (that's what they are called in the U.K).

Reason being in the U.K they have a locking mechanism on the trolleys that requires a £1 coin to unlock them and when you return the trolley to the trolley area and relock it you get your £1 back.

That sounds pretty brilliant, although I think here in America too many people would make a big stink about it violating their "personal freedom" for it to really catch on.

They do that at Aldi's, but I don't think you get the money back when you return the cart. Hence, people rarely let them lock again.

yeah we have a similar system at Aldi here in the US. havent used a cart in aldis in a while(reusable bags to carry stuff+dont buy a full load at Aldi anyways), you DID get your quarter back. Which is why I never seem to see Aldi carts littering the lot, thrown everywhere.

it is a brilliant system.

Yes.

The people who don't are the downfall of society, because their laziness and lack of caring doesn't stop there.

There are people who get paid to collect the carts, but that isn't their only job, And sometimes people call in sick. The weather here gets to -40 and below sometimes, with upwards of three feet of snow. I've worked in a department store, and had to help those guys when they were short-staffed. It sucks, bad.

go ahead an hit my truck with the cart, i don't care. it's an almost 20 year old truck with rust starting to creep up from the undercarriage. i give it maybe two more years before i'm forced to actually get rid of it, even though, besides the rust bubbles on the bottom of the panels, it looks fantastic.

but it's on its last legs. it has a constant miss that just wont go the fuck away, it needs new ball joints, an alignment, tires, probably brake pads. new wiper blades, a new wiper motor, a new coil pack, ect.

it's done me good, but it's dying. and it's not worth it at this point to put any more money into it. then it'd just go into the sunken cost fallacy

so if you wanna throw your cart against it, or hit it when opening your car doors because you don't know how to pull into a spot properly and don't have enough room, go ahead

I have a 2001 Infiniti QX4 that had one previous owner. I've only owned new vehicles before this, so I don't really care what happens to this thing. It's funny when people park too close to me, like they think I'm just going to get in my passenger side and climb over, like I care if my door bangs off their entire vehicle... When I'm in my new trucks, I avoid the ratty vehicles at all costs, because I know they feel the same way.
