In 1, Dracula wants his daughter to stay in the shore forever. The main guy comes along and convinces both of them that the outside world is safe and accepting of monsters, and the daughter is free to explore the world at her leisure, with the guy at her side.

In 2, the main guy an drew dracula want the daughter to stay in office fever because... main guy doesn't want to leave the hotel. So despite the daughter wanting to leave for a better life for her newborn son, she's ultimately plotted against, and we're supposed to think she's a bitch for following through on her development from the first movie and wanting to live somewhere else.

I've seen both movies like, 5 times this week with my niece. I can't help but be cynical now

He never finds it because if he did, he wouldn't have thought is "Vampa" was the coolest guy at the end of the second act of the sequel

Honestly it shits on it's own message.
"It's ok to be human. You don't have to be a super powerful vampire to be special"
*Becomes a vampire anyway*
"Well... ok be a vampire, but your dad is going to die before you hit puberty"

I am awesome and so are you.

I'm sure he'll still hit puberty before his father croaks

But that whole aging thing is still pretty weird. Mavis was 118 in the first movie and 123 in the second, and still looks exactly the same, which I GUESS is to be expected. But Johnny is 21 in Part 1 and 26 in Part 2 and didn't age at all either. He's still the exact same guy despite creating a living breathing thing with a hot vampire girl.

Maybe the cure for aging is finding your waifu irl?

The only thing that changes much between 21 and 26 is a little more hair on the chin and maybe a little less on the scalp.
