Raiden, Revan, Armstrong, Kefka, Turok, Luca, and Ryu have challenged Neclord, Damus, Sora, Dracula, Kuja and Dante to a fight! Location of the fight: Impact Crater - The source of Tallon IV's phazon corruption surrounding a deceased Leviathan. All doors are open, whilst enemies will not spawn. Watch your step - phazon is lethal to the touch. Attackers will start by the teleporter, with defenders starting at Metroid Prime's boss room. Which side will win?


Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

Ryu is as he appears in the Street Fighter series with all his moves minus gameplay mechanics, though his supers/ultras need to be charged. He has come to battle with the Star Dragon Sword. The Star Dragon Sword retains its sentience and can (and will) freely communicate with anyone in the fight, though it will not otherwise act of its own will. It acts as an ideal teammate but will, however, refuse to be wielded by anyone other than its chosen wielder for the fight.

Luca Blight is as he appears in his boss fight(s). He has access to all of his attacks, but not the Beast Rune, which he never used because the damn thing was sitting in his castle.

Senator Steven Armstrong is as seen in his boss fight in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, with access to all of his powers and abilities. He cannot access Metal Gear Excelsius. During this match, It Has To be This Way will play loudly all over the terrain.

Kefka is as he appears in FF6A in the last battle, having access to all attacks and skills from the fight aside from Trine and Heartless Angel. He additionally has all his Brave and HP attacks from Dissidia: Final Fantasy, as well as the Exhilarating Magic skill.

Joshua Fireseed is as he appears in Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, equipped with the Firestorm Cannon, Plasma Rifle, Razor Wind, Scorpion Launcher and some Sunfire Pods.

Raiden is as seen in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with access to all of his weapons (save the Fox Blade) and upgrades available in that game. He doesn't require Zandatsu to recover. He has access to roughly one full bar of energy for Blade Mode and Ripper Mode. He has no mysterious lightning powers here, either. He has to access unlimited Ripper Mode for this week's battle.

Revan is as he appears in Star Wars: KOTOR. He is a Light Side Scoundrel Sentinel, has access to his best non-broken equipment and access to all his Force powers as seen in KOTOR save for those in the Persuasion, Stun, Shutdown, Strangulation, and Fear chains.

Kefka has spiked Team Neclord's water supply, giving them upset stomachs. Whilst they'll start the fight doubled over with gastrointestinal discomfort, it will subside as time goes by.

Neclord is as seen in Suikoden II, with all of his attacks shown in Suikoden I and Suikoden II. He retains his extreme resistance to damage from non-holy based magic and weapons from the Moon Rune, as well as any attacks seen in the gameplay granted by the rune. However, he will lose these resistances if struck by the Star Dragon Sword and cannot otherwise use the rune for curses or anything else.

Sora is as he appears in Kingdom Hearts 2 FM+ with his best non-broken equipment, and is able to use his Valor, Wisdom, Limit, and Master forms, though they aren't infinite, use the same gauge (starting with and limited to 5), and won't eat up an ally. He doesn't have Magnet, summons, limits (except in Limit form), any reaction commands, or invincibility.

Dracula appears as he does in Chapter 6 of Harmony of Despair, Hard Mode. He has access to all of his attacks, though his seduction attack can't brainwash females, and can freely transform between all three of his forms. Additionally, he has all of his attacks from Order of Ecclesia, except for that game's version of Demonic Megiddo.

Dante is as he appears in Devil May Cry 4, though he does not have his canon regen. He may access Devil Trigger for up to 10 seconds every 5 minutes. He also has all of his weapons from Devil May Cry 3. He does not have access to Kalina Ann, Yamato, or any styles only seen in Devil May Cry 3.

Kuja is as seen in Final Fantasy IX under the effects of Trance, with all of his spells and abilities shown within, though he may not use Ultima. Additionally, he has access to all of his Brave/HP attacks from Dissidia, though the actual Brave/HP mechanics do not apply.

Dark Samus is as she appears in her boss fight in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, although she cannot turn invincible, turn incorporeal or heal off of phazon. She will be asleep for the first 30 seconds of the fight, although she will be awoken by damage from a hostile attack.

The fight takes place at the Impact Crater. It's a fairly small terrain, meaning that the other team won't be over their stomach issues by the time the teams meet. They may not be doubled over in pain at that point, but it'll still hurt them enough to affect their combat performance.

Raiden in Ripper Mode is really good. In this mode, he can slow down time enough that raindrops move at a crawl () and he can run up a spinning pillar (). He also gets the ability to cut through Gekkos and a ball made of armored vehicles (). With the other team suffering extreme stomach cramps, Raiden may be the best person here.

Another issue here is the phazon. Well, I think my team is better equipped to handle it than the other team. They may have Dark Samus, but nobody else on the team really wants to deal with phazon. Meanwhile, I have Raiden, a robot, Revan, who has energy shields that could protect him from it, and Kefka, who has ascended to godhood. Armstrong's nanomachines might help him too. Revan also has Force Heal, which heals poisons. If it comes down to who survives the phazon, my team has the advantage.

I think I win that in a straight fight, let alone one where they're battered.

So are Luca and Turok for that matter (there's a span right before the boss room where my guys are that straight up has no floor, just walls and goop. Samus goes around it by Morph Ball shenanigans, but without that or flight you kind of have to be able to fly over it or trudge directly through Death Sludge)

If your team gets over the stomach problems so easily, why aren't they moving and exposing themselves to phazon? Nobody on your team except Dark Samus wants to get near the stuff, while Raiden, Revan and Kefka on my team don't mind it. Either your team gets over the stomach issues and gets battered by phazon too, or your team is still suffering the stomach problems, which is a big advantage in my favor.

I mean Neclord has bat form and can hover and Dracula teleport, jump stupidly far in beast mode, or just plain fly in demon form. So I don' see how the Phazon gets at them, unless we're going with the whole super radioactive kills everything thing again.

Why doesn't Raiden have the SDS... is the wielder chosen randomly or by Neclord himself or something?

I actually disagree on the SDS being a downgrade, it's basically on par with the Claimh Solais and would've been incredibly useful in the right hands here.

Kinda wish this was a hype 1 v 1 of Raiden versus Dante tbh. But alas.

Okay so this is what goes down

Sora is done because his stomach aches are going to make him whine and he is eaten by phazon. Kuja is probably doing the same thing, and I will buy the Neclord and Dracula being eaten up as well since Lopen said it messes up the flesh. Dante I give him some tanking even without his regen he still survives for a bit at least.

Raiden is going to LET IT RIP as long as he can, I think Armstrong tanks with NANOMACHINES SON, and Kefka has flight so I feel the phazon shouldnt mess him up too much

so thinking its going to mostly be Armstrong and Kefka with Raiden for a while vs Damus and Dante for a while. I feel like thats pretty tight and it depends on who ends up getting Phazon'd first. I actually feel like Kefka is the difference maker since his flight is going to allow him to cast without getting sucked up by the terrain

Luca and Turok can get through easily. Armstrong picks them up and jumps with them. Dude can lift giant chunks of Metal Gear Excelsus. Two guys aren't going to be any trouble for him.

Incidentally that boss room where my guys start is pretty much the only part of the terrain that *isn't* overly Phazon ridden. You can see it during the video, it's the rest of the terrain that's coated with the stuff. Only Phazon to be had in the boss chamber is the scattered pools at the end you use to charge up the Hyper Beam.

But there's still phazon in that room. And your team is going to spend a lot of time exposed to it due to being doubled over in pain right next to it. If that stuff is as bad as advertised, even a small bit in the same room should have quite the effect.

tentative vote for dante won't die from sora's HEALZ (and maybe innate regen; dunno if this falls under the canon regen clause i.e. no sells being impaled in dmc4)

i feel like the power advantage squarely lies on team dante, so i'm gonna vote that way (dante/d. samus/kuja > raiden and revan imo). phazon wise i think team dante has the advantage (unless force heal can be proven to heal star wars radiation tbqh dont buy it) since the only guy that isn't encumbered by it on team raiden is raiden himself and that...well i dont know him well enough but i know his pain sensors are turned on, and i presume hes human enough to be poisoned. so, idk. normally a robot is good to not die to this kinda junk

only way i see dante dying is if raiden ohko's him while he doesn't respect his abilities. in this clusterfuck it's kind of probably not ever happening

Oh I misread, nevermind

Anyway, looking at the video again, there is no Phazon whatsover during the first portion of the Prime battle. It's only when you knock her deeper underground that you even start to find any at all. I think it's kind of a stretch to go "Your team starts next to the one point in this biggish chamber that would hurt them if they happened to start next to it rather than anywhere else that wouldn't"
