Have you ever been on an inflatable raft before?

11 y/o Kayla Matos was tragically killed after she was ELECTROCUTED to death while swimming with friends in a lagoon!!

Her friends witnessed Kayla being electrocuted right in front of them when the horrifying incident took place...

She was playing on an inflatable raft in Toms River, New Jersey after she touched a metal rail of a boat lift...the "electric current" appeared to have energized the equipment causing the injury.

The adults around the water gave her CPR in an attempt to resuscitate her as first responders used a defibrillator when they arrived but it was no avail as she died hours later at the Community Medical Centre..

She was swimming with friends in the lagoon during their Summer Vacation as they were all in life vests and under adult supervision.

Have you ever been on an inflatable raft before?

Actually she was electrocuted by the boat lift not the raft. She should have known better than to touch something metal that conducts electricity while near water or even when not.

What? I don't even get that. Rafts are a mix of rubber and plastic, so nothing should conduct electricity. Unless you just mean she got shocked by touching a metal part of an electric lift while wet, which wouldn't really be the raft's fault.

Because the good electricity drives out the bad electricity? >_> idk, never really understood that. I guess the theory is that her heart stopped as a result of electricity and a jolt could bring it back, but it's still kinda counterintuitive .
