And I didn't even hate it. I hated what it did to Bray Wyatt, considering they turned him into voodoo Dolph Ziggler. All they had to do was have him beat Randy at Mania, but they couldn't do that. The guy finally beat top level competition in Styles and Cena. Now I can't give a flying fuck about what should be the most interesting WWE character. What is he feuding with Rollins for?

Instead, in 1/10 the TV time, Goldust does promos from 20 years ago that mean more.

Bayley's entire feud with Alexa killed her dead. It even got to the point where the most beloved Babyface Bayley got booed.

The residual damage of the move to Raw screwed everything surrounding Bray and Orton. Harper could have been given Jinder's spot, If HoH's still played out the same, then at least a plot thread involving Rowan and Harper could have continued. A triple threat title match, fatal four ways, tags, any conceiveable match up to Backlash killed because they got cold feet.

Bayley's feud killed one person.

Bayley can still recover. Her and Alexa was done pretty poorly, but one awful match where her and her character get trashed shouldn't kill her off forever. She came out and whipped ass on Raw, that's a good first step towards trying to fix it.

Bray has been saying gibberish into a microphone and (mostly) losing for how long now? That's when a character gets really damaged. Can't take him seriously. He's got a ton of charisma and mic skill, but I just don't care about what he's saying because it ends up always being like the bark of a chihuahua - it's not threatening anymore. And definitely something that hurt that was the Orton and Wyatt feud, because it just got so silly. If they're gonna make Wyatt silly, they have to go all-in on silly Wyatt, but I think we all know that there's no reason to go full on silly Wyatt because that's wasted potential.

Maybe if he'd done that after he lost at Mania, I would have been ok with it. Something like, "You beat me at Mania because I was distraught, but Sister Abigail told me she lives on through me."

THEN he does the whole ashes deal. If he wins House of Horrors after that, it doesn't look nearly as dumb.

So i just got done binging GLOW (Netflix comedy about fledgling all women wrestling show in the 80s).

I have some serious issues with the main drama/narrative flow but what it is REALLY good at is capturing the carny huckster nature of the business and is just a pretty fine and funny treatment of the subject.

For anyone into obscure stuff, the Network has been uploading more MSG house shows from the '70s and early '80s that were taped for HBO and later MSG Network.

There's one that's essentially the go-home show for WM 1 which would be in the same arena two weeks later. It's really interesting how closely it already resembles our modern conception of a go-home show. Tag matches mixing opponents from various upcoming matches together, a talk show segment focusing on the main event that erupts into chaos, it's neat!
