In a few months for our wedding anniversary of ten years.

1. She doesn't know yet

2. Do I tell her? I can keep it a surprise. Or should I tell her so we can plan stuff/get good Tix to shows?

Yes, at some point weight enough time to plan a few things... How soon were you going to leave it to without telling her?

Well I was just gonna get in the car and go. She knows to get the time off, that's it.

Ahh. Well that's good. I'm that case maybe being quiet is better.

Does your wife like surprises?

If so I would keep it a secret, buy last minute tickets to a show you think she'd like (can often get this at a discount), and let the rest of the weekend play itself out.

Lots to do. Haven't been there as (drinking age) adults together only when we were 18. Also less than a 5hour drive so somewhere not too far.

I'd leave it as a surprise. After 10 years of marriage I imagine some folk become too predictable. Show her you're not one of those people.

I really don't know you well enough to help you with taking your wife. I mean, I'm not seeing anyone right now so I guess it would be ok.

Women love surprises. Unless the surprises are bad or disappointing things. Like being kept in a dungeon.

"Just get in the car and go" doesn't work if it's a long drive and she doesn't know.

Randomly dropping money on a vacation like Vegas isn't something you just do without telling your significant other. Especially if you guys have a joint bank account; she's gonna see the expenditure eventually so it's not going to be a surprise.

If it's a fun getaway that is already taken care of that's a pretty nice surprise. Cirque stuff is a great idea and a safe bet. I've never heard bad things about it from people that have gone to shows.

Vegas can be super cheap if you get the right hotel package and there's a coupon book your supposed to get at the big hotels for cheap food and stuff all around.

I've been there once and it kicked my ass. But I really want to go back and try again. The big strip hotels have very nice suites for a reasonable rate. Don't stay on Freemont Street.

Ehhhh it's a fun getaway where we can drink, go to shows, and just have fun together. We have two kids that are being watched for those days so it will be nice to have us time.

Ahhhhh lol. And also we can just walk everywhere. But yeah if you live somewhere it's not as exciting cause you are used to it. Plus it's like 4 and a half hours away, so somewhere fun and interesting that isn't too far.

Indeed. I am thinking $50 each for each day so that leaves me at 350 for food and shows.... maybe 200 more to be safe?
