The Blue Shell has gotta be the worst item in Mario Kart. Of course everyone knows how much it sucks when you're in first, but it's also a shitty item to get when you're far behind and just want a fucking star or Bullet Bill


I've mostly just been playing single player 50CC so it's not too big a deal, but I hear it's horrible on online

What trick is that? I didn't even know you could drift in MK64, but that's pretty much all you do in MK8.

Also in MK64 I think you could block the blue shell the same way as red ones

As far as I know the only way to dodge blue shells in 8 is with that horn item. It's like a car horn or something. Anyway, I only just discovered that "profile" thing on Switch and it has like 6 games in my play history and none of them are Zelda. That's weird considering it's by far my most played Switch game.

That sucks that you can't see Zelda in there, since finding my play time was probably the first reason I ever really looked at the profile (it was over 125 hours BTW). Of course maybe if you play Zelda again it will bump it back up in the history and you can see your hours (if you even care)

I friggin lost the switch carrying case I bought and BotW was in there. I get mad at myself for that like once a day. The dumbest thing is it should be in my house somewhere but I have no earthly idea where I would have put it. Oh well. I can borrow my brother's copy if I get the itch in the future. I have a lot of games in my backlog at the moment as it is.

At least you didn't lose it with the Switch in it. I'm guessing it's in your house too because I can't imagine that if you went somewhere with the Switch that you'd just take it back home without putting it back in the case

The activity log on 3DS kicks ass. This one sucks. It says "more than 75 hours" on Zelda for me. Who knows how many that is

I'm sure I'll randomly find it in like a year. It also had Super Bomberman R in there but that is no great loss

I've been thinking about getting Super Bomberman because my wife likes playing multiplayer games with our kids and we only have MK8 for the switch. Seeing as it is no great loss I'll wait for a different game.

It's not horrible but it's not worth what it costs. A really fun/family friendly game is Puyo Puyo Tetris. It's like $30 on the eShop.

Wow I didn't know Justin Smoak was an all-star starter. Good for him though, it's always fun when guys who have been around for years are randomly good

I had heard Betances was doing poorly in the last few weeks and he's really wild here tonight.

Arenado going 2-2 is nice but Mookie Betts just made him look like a baserunning fool. Oh well, DJ LeMahieu will be the hero of the game

I'm enjoying it a lot. Great storytelling and world building. Tons of exciting crazy moments. I've put in like 20 hours and the only thing is that combat is getting a little tiresome. I give it a full recommendation though and I'll definitely keep playing till the bitter end.

Also I bought FFXII. I'll let you know if/when I start playing it.

It's really embarrassing how the NL just loses the All-Star game year after year. I get how they falter in something like interleague play with a decent sample size, but it's so bizarre that they can't have anything go their way in ASGs

The Cubs ruin everything.

It's pretty funny how the Cubs only had one guy make the team after having so many starters last year, and he wasn't even part of the team last year. At least it was funny until he blew it

Everything about the Cubs is very funny this year. It sucks that they still have a good chance to win the Central. We have to believe in the Brewers.

I also just read that DeAngelo Williams won't play for the Cowboys even if they wanted him because he grew up a Niners fan and he wants nothing to do with Dallas fans. I think I gained a little respect for him.

I'm sure you'll probably give up at some point regardless of my recommendation, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the biggest Simpsons fans in this topic have probably seen less than half of the episodes in the series at this point, and are perfectly content with that fact.

Actually, I think I lied, at least for me. There are 28 seasons and I've probably seen 95%+ of the first 17 of them. But regardless, the point is that only about a third of the series is really worth watching.
