You can't even seem to find a gaming media source that isn't paid off by the publishers these days.
Look at Zelda Breath of the Wind: you really think this game, which is little more than an average open world game, deserves a near perfect metacritic? No doubt the people who wrote the reviews feared for their jobs if they didn't give it these scores. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Video game reviewers have never been good. Seriously, a game has to be complete dogshit from a nobody developer to get less than a 6. If a game is by a big developer, it will generally have enough polish to get 7+ even though it could play like ass.
