Brutal hell opening. Creepy as hell man-dog. Herr Starr! The Grail! Hitler?

Really great episode, from the dark gory opening to the fantastic use of jazz throughout the episode. I can't help but find the Tulip plotline kind of dull though.

What?

Season 2 has already started?

Damn that means I'm already behind.

If it wasn't for the opening on the first episode of the season, this would have been my favorite episode of the season so far.

I loved Jesse's fight with the Grail members. But most of all, it was so exciting to see Starr and the Featherstone reveal.

The one thing that bugged me about the episode though is why didn't using the ability twice cause the Saint of Killers to show up?

He thinks that problem has been dealt with.

Edit: Misread. I assume the Saint of Killers is still walking to them and will take some time.

My impression of what we've seen so far is the Saint shows up fairly quickly when he uses the ability, but I guess they haven't revealed exactly how it works.

There was enough time to unintentionally leave people in his wake after his first encounter.

I kind of feel like he shows up whenever it's convenient for the story, but I'm not complaining because every scene he's been in has been cool.

I'm starting to get worried about cancellation, ratings have been down a bit from where they were last season. And airing an episode just before July 4th was a dumb move by AMC.

To be honest, I had the same worry last season. But I was hoping to see the numbers gain this season, not get lower.

They moved nights.

It really doesn't matter that much. They'll probably continue to pull 3 million with DVR (Not to mention an inordinate amount of illegal viewing), and combine that with the positive critical darling status of the show, plus AMC's desire for peak TV like this and the starfuckery involved with keeping Seth Rogen around, there's not a lot of chance they ditch this.

Not to mention Legion has lower viewership than this on FX and FX is in love with that show.
