@swordz9 and other people with bad gacha luck:
Many events will have a 4* Servant you can earn up to five copies off (to max their NP), nicknamed welfare servants. All of them are solid, with a few being top tier for their class. The first ones we'll get will be for Halloween and Christmas, and are an excellent Caster and Rider.

Yea, the gacha might be a bit more annoying, but it's made up by the fact that some of the Lower rarity and event units are amazingly solid. Rarty doesn't matter as much in terms of viability.

Yeah, I heard about those 4* Servants. Still though what the fuck at 120 Quartz+9 tickets and not a SINGLE featured card aside from 1 essence. This gacha system blows because you can do a 10-pull and walk away with literally 1 Servant :/. All the others I've played at least guarantee you get multiple characters even if they're bad Rs/3*s.

Good news! You can get Small Gil later as a 3* Archer (and a really good one at that rarity still) or Hat Gil as a Caster much later.

Forgot to add it feels like a slap in the face when you "unlock" a character so they're part of the summon pool, but then it's pretty damn rare to even get 1 4* Servant from multiple pulls

Yeah I'd have more of a problem with the summoning system if my favorites weren't largely 1*s and 3*s and it wasn't theoretically possible to make those characters viable.

I mean rerolling till I got my favorite of the starting 5* was nice too, and lucking into my second favorite of them while going for Gilgamesh doesn't hurt, but I'm not sure I'm even gonna use Rainbow Death Beam Whipsword Saber and Jeanne d'Arc in the long run

That's crazy. I'm not even aiming for a 5* here. I couldn't even get anything from the banner really aside from Kiyohime and 2 of Stheno who people say is one of the worst 4*s. I would've been happy if all that Quartz had gotten me Medea and like maybe Lancelot or Saber Alter. Guess I'll get Medea from friend pulls even if it takes a million days

It wouldn't have gotten you Saber Alter. Story unlocks are only in the non-banner gacha unless specifically featured.

They could mention that. When you hit Details on the Gilgamesh banner she's listed, but it seems fucked up anyways because Gilgamesh isn't even listed for his own banner >_>

Yeah I think the Medea rate on Gilgamesh's banner isn't boosted much at all. I got a ton of 3*s from it, hell I got Mephistopheles before her. Which sucks because I actually do want her. Might be able to get another 10 pull from the Gilgamesh banner before it closes though.

Guess I'll play this some more right now since the Dokkan Battle servers were fucking destroyed the instant Super Saiyan 4 banners went up. Literally crashed to emergency maintenance for 2-3 hours

Yea, that second to last battle was a dooooozy.

Alternating between the NPs of the support Jeanne and my Jeanne had me lasting a lot longer than I thought, but an attack-sPell boosted support Jeanne had to finish the Job. Thankfully I didn't need to burn command spells.

The Last battle went a lot smoother. Wanted to finish with Jeanne but forgot to boost her atk, so Marie finished instead (VIVA LA FRANCE, ASSHOLE!)

All in all, plot was pretty solid. Hope to do a few ascensions before I move on to Rome.

according to JP timeline it was like 8-9 months before they got her iirc. of course we seem to be speeding up a bit compared to them so probably not that long but still a decent chunk of time

We won't, but that's because we're not getting compensation for 48+hr maintenances. On the other hand, we're starting with 3-quartz pulls instead of the 4 that JP had.

Jeanne Alter battle was really fun and somewhat challenging (I lost once when I ran my standard Kojirou/Altera/Guest comp). I don't know if you guys were overleveled for it or not but I ran it with L40 Kojirou, L23 Jeanne, and L20 Guest Jeanne, and it was pretty fun being at the edge of death constantly, staggering Jeanne Noble Phantasms to keep healed and to keep from being wrecked by Alter's NP. Quality boss fight. This game has POTENTIAL.

Also I think that fight alone made me happy to have Jeanne and she'll probably be in my main party sooner rather than later. Her Noble Phantasm seems like a great tool to beat things where the normal solution would be to just grind more.

Jeanne Alter is tough. It's the fight after that's a total joke in comparison.

Well I mean, it should be. That's what happens when you put the main event at the second from top of the card.
