Grigori, Jaesa Willsaam, Flynn and Haseo have challenged Raiden, Turok, Senator Steven Armstrong and Ellie to a fight! Location of the fight: Metal Gear Excelsus - The wreckage of Metal Gear Excelsus as seen in the final phase of Armstrong's boss fight. The attacker team starts in Raiden's starting location, whereas the defenders will start at Armstrong's. The area surrounding Excelsus is accessible, and fighters are not limited to the circular arena.. Which side will win?

Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

Sega has won the console wars! Grigori, Flynn, Haseo and Ellie will enjoy a 50% parameter buff for the whole match.

Grigori is as he appears in Dragon's Dogma, with access to all his moves except possession. A fighter does not have to be an Arisen to deal the final blow to him.

Jaesa Willsaam is as seen in SW:TOR, using her best equipment, fully leveled and with access to all of her role skills and other abilities, as well as cutscene powers (though no mind control or anything else that would fall under the 'broken' clause). All of her attacks in the fight will ignore armour and cause internal damage.

Haseo has the best armor, weapons, and skills from the end of .hack//G.U. Vol. 2. He does not have access to any Alchemized items, the Doppleganger weapons, or battle items (potions, scrolls, etc.). He has gained a 50% strength boost, and any of his projectiles will become darkness based and gain slight homing properties. His personality has been altered to care only for winning at any cost. He will be asleep for the first 30 seconds of the fight, although he will be awoken by damage from a hostile attack.

Flynn is as he appears by the end of Shin Megami Tensei IV, equipped with only the Plasma Sword, Plasma Gun, Almighty Rounds, White King armor set, and Hero Earrings. The only skills he has are all -dyne level elemental spells, Salvation, Doping, Luster Candy and Great Logos. The only apps he has are MP Recovery 2 and Auto-Pinpoint, and he cannot summon. He has a 50% boost to all parameters, stacking with the Console Wars buff.

An Energy Totem has been installed at the centre of the terrain. It as as durable as it is in Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, and for as long as it is active, Grigor will be imprisoned in place at their starting point, unable to move or perform any actions. He will only be freed if the Energy Totem is successfully destroyed.

Joshua Fireseed is as he appears in Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, equipped with the Cerebral Bore, Firestorm Cannon, Plasma Rifle, Razor Wind, Scorpion Launcher and some Sunfire Pods.

Senator Steven Armstrong is as seen in his boss fight in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, with access to all of his powers and abilities. He cannot access Metal Gear Excelsius. During this match, It Has To be This Way will play loudly all over the terrain.

Ellie is as she appears in the endgame of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, equipped with the Pinaka and a Godly Emblem, with all Radiant skills other than Endless Act and Endless Song, and no Extra skills. Virion is an Assassin with the Command skills Grand Tack, Myriad Arrows, Thunder Strike, Inferno Strike, Overload, Power Charge and Stealth, as well as the Passive skills Bow Expertise EX, Elec Expertise, Fire Expertise, Absorb Elec, Shura's Soul, Dodge Feather and Pierce. She has been stabbed through the stomach with Jaesa's lightsaber, dealing damage and causing an incurable bleed effect. She will lose blood at a steady pace over the course of the fight, eventually dying from blood loss, depending on her composition.

Raiden is as seen in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with access to all of his weapons (save the Fox Blade) and upgrades available in that game. He doesn't require Zandatsu to recover. He has access to roughly one full bar of energy for Blade Mode. He has no mysterious lightning powers here, either. He has access to unlimited Ripper Mode for this week's battle.

So we're at the Metal Gear Excelsus ruins. It's a small, circular arena where the teams can see each other right away. Grigori is frozen due to the energy totem and Haseo is asleep for 30 seconds, so it's really Ripper Mode Raiden, Armstrong, and Joshua vs. Jaesa and Flynn. Flynn may have doubled parameters, but that still puts him far below Ripper Mode Raiden. Ripper Mode Raiden cuts through things a lot more durable than Flynn with ease. Once they've taken down Flynn and Jaesa, they can turn their sights to Haseo. He should just be waking up as Flynn and Jaesa go down. Even with a 100% strength boost, Haseo will still have trouble getting through Armstrong's defenses. Raiden couldn't do it with his normal HF blade, so what hope does mid-triology equipment from .hack//G.U. have?

Once Haseo's down, all that remains is a stunned dragon. Ellie could take him by herself if she didn't have a gaping hole in her stomach. It may take a while, but Raiden and Armstrong will take down Grigori. Raiden and Armstrong working together? I guess in the end it had to be this way.

So here's the thing.

Jaesa is a fucking monster here. Armstrong and raise trying to melee her would be in error dye to armor ignore, anfkynn provides nice buffs. The arena being small works in favor if me since the totem is in plain sight. Gaseo is awoken by any hit and buffed he can tank. Flynn also provides all the buffs.

Well it takes 2 minutes of a goober orc with an axe hitting it to kill it, which means it's not entirely brittle

That being said I tend to agree with Drak that piercing armor probably is very effective given its appearance.

Not sure it gets one shotted though it's kinda thick. She might need to swing a few times just to get the surface area.

Although I'm not sure it's relevant. Even with +50% params I don't know how relevant Grigori is in a small arena with Ripper Raiden and Armstrong tearing things up.

Grigori needs some area to spread his wings to take off. This arena isn't big enough for that.

Joshua can just pop sleeping beauty in the head and that's that. The Plasma Rifle even has a scope so it should be easy.

The problem here is Jaesa is pretty sinister here. She doesn't look like much but if she gets a stab in on raiden or armstrong they are in major trouble just from one clean blow. They can't just rush Flynn like you're saying, or else Jaesa will wound them badly with no way to recover.

That's also a possibility. I'm not sure Raiden in ripper mode is going to be going for the ideal target right off and if he doesn't Armstrong probably bowls into him or he gets shot first.

Very interesting match despite assuming a stomp coming in. I'd probably abstain from this one either way.

You're gonna have to sell me hard on Haseo becoming active without getting exploded. The only one who doesn't instantly turn him into pulp with an attack is Ellie and she's bleeding to death so probably a bit distracted from hitting him.

Flynn doesn't know that. He knows Haseo is asleep. If he’s going to try to wake him up, his first action would be to shake him, not kick him. Or try Salvation, which won't do anything but open him up to a Raiden attack.
