Mine's in a mall and I never used to be embarrassed to be seen walking into the store to buy a video game but now it's more of a toy store and they have all these ugly displays of action figures outside the door. I feel ashamed to be seen walking into that store now. I'm thinking of switching to digital just to avoid the embarrassment. I'm a gamer, not a brainwashed man child who still plays with stuffed toys. Imagine if a girl came over and saw that you have statues of anime girls and stuffed pokemon on your bed. Yikes. I feel sorry for the people who buy this garbage. Most of it serves no functional purpose and is so ugly to look at. Especially those stupid funko pop! dolls. Disgusting.

I don't care what weird stuff other people are into as long as it isn't hurting anyone. Want a bunch of stuffed animals of video game characters? Hey, go wild. Doesn't affect my life.

I haven't been in a GameStop in a few years because I have pretty much gone digital at this point. I play games on PC, so that's been easy to do. I think the last physical game I bought was a preorder of Mass Effect 3. That... well, it took something from me. I haven't preordered anything since, and I don't think I've bought a physical disc since, either.

I kinda feel embarrassed since I buy everything from Best Buy now (Gamers club) or Amazon.....I have gone into gamestops about 5 times in the last 2-3 years and never end up buying anything (it's been less and less often). They never have good deals anymore.

Sometimes the clearances are okay. Other than Black Fridays, I think I might field almost everything through Amazon with the exception of older used games.

In general, I don't game a ton any more. Even a lot of stuff I pick up I don't get around to.

Yeah, that is basically my problem as well. I have a backlog of over 1000 games (Actual good games) to play, dating back 3 systems at this point in some cases, along with over 500 steam games I have bought (and mostly not even tried). I still pick up new games on sale at best buy (with gamers discount it's pretty freaking cheap that way), but I don't need any older used games (I probably already own them all anyway) and that is the only thing gmestop has going for it at this point pretty much.

I can't keep up with the new games that I buy, let alone my backlog, and I'm not even working anymore. It's crazy.

I still go. I have consoles from the last 3 generations so it's convenient to just pick up the games down the street rather than wait a few days for it to come in the mail.

Yeah, I can't say I have any problem being seen looking at something I want to look at. I'm not a kid any more so I don't really get embarrassed much over petty shit.

Well that's a bit different but at the same time, why would you be embarrassed to walk into any store? It's just a store, your money spends the same as everyone else's and as long as the store staff aren't douchey, it's all good. If you don't want the plastic junk, don't buy it.
