I believe there is a way to check

Dark ward resists the blind status

Ward = 50% resist
Proof = 100% resist/immunity

Weapons/ gear is exclusively about abilities, except the ultimate weapons

Everyone gets full experience for battle if they perform an action, even if it is as fast as changing a weapon. It's an easy way to keep everyone leveled.

For armor

Stuff like 'stone ward' resists petrification by 50%, and 'stoneproof' is immunity

For weapons

Stuff like 'Stone touch' has a 50% chance of infilicting petrification ( some enemies might have resist % to lower your chances without being immune)

'Stone Strike' will guarantee a petrification kill unless they are immune. Also stone and slow strike is really OP until end/post game

Also, which way should Kimahri start from his Sphere Grid? There was up, left, and right from his starting spot.

I chose right 1 node right now cuz idk what I was doing lol. But I can back track left or up if those are better ways since it's still really early >_>

Kimahri is a bit of a wild card. Ideally, he can hop into someone else's track and be a lesser, duplicate version of that character (he always lags a bit because he did his own grid first relative to that character).

The usual suggested path is to hop towards Rikku's Sphere for Steal and Use (you also gain Rikku later than the rest. His own grid kind of sucks; there's a lot of empty nodes and the nodes that are there are relatively weak as they're entry level.

Personally I break south and east first to grab Scan and Jinx, and then use some keyspheres (you'll find 'em eventually) to unlock Rikku's path, and then I have him bust over to Yuna's sphere with more keyspheres for Dispel and Reflect. I forget exactly where I go from there. Most of my return or friend spheres I lump onto Kimahri so he can just fly around the board to whatever I need. Lancet is a wonderful ability with its quick hit nature and minor draining, so he can spam MP-costing abilities like Wakka's status inflictions, Auron's Breaks, or Yuna's buffs with ease so I opt to pump him full of +mag and +speed.

Note that you don't need to level up your characters! Levels come quickly in this game so I tend to only mess with the sphere grid once every 2 or 3 levels because that still lets me learn everything and it's less time in menus. If you want to have a character break out of their spherepath and you're just waiting for a keysphere or something, you can just park them there and have like 20+ moves saved up so they can go ballistic as soon as a branch unlocks for them. All of Tidus/Lulu/Yuna/Auron/Wakka/Rikku have mostly set paths; the use of keyspheres for them is to make them shift tracks if desired. But for your first playthrough you can keep them on their rails.

Other misc tips and tricks:
- Status buffs like Cheer and Reflex stack up to 5 casts
- A character has to act in a given battle to gain exp. While doing the full party rotation is needlessly excessive every given battle, it's worthwhile early on to have Yuna in battle, defend once (slightly quicker action, her turn comes back up again sooner), and then bring in a killer to ensure she gets some levels. Once she's got pray under her belt she's able to hold her own better, but more than 50% of your random battles will be a string of OHKO's in a pokemon-like fashion (flyer = wakka, elemental = lulu, armored = auron/kimahri, etc) which means no exp for Yuna unless you go out of your way for her. But nul flame/frost/etc are amazing when dealing with elementals, arguably superior if Lulu can't one shot them.

No they can be hit by anyone. They just need high accuracy and Wakka has the best accuracy at the beginning

As for Kimahri imo you should just ignore him after that boss battle he goes solo for or turn him into a thief unless you're a completionist. You should at least get steal for the boss battle so you can get those spheres they have

They CAN be hit by anyone but Wakka has the highest accuracy at the start so he will usually hit and they will usually miss.

Kimarhi is the weird (Crappy) charater because he has no Spheregrid path, he just can become a lesser version of someone else.

I'd reccomend sending him towards Wakka's path since that has the most Strength. But really it doesn't matter. Just pick your poison with Kimarhi.

Luck Spheres create a +4 Luck node

To activate luck nodes you need a Fortune Sphere which are crazy rare. Only 4 in the game barring superboss and Blizball rewards.

So just don't bother using the luck sphere until you find a fortune sphere

Dont use hard to get items like megaphoenixes if youre trying to 100%.
There's a sequence of fights after you first get on the airship that can be hard if youre not prepared.
Invest a bit in Oaka(I forget how much)
Keep at least 1 First Strike weapon

A luck sphere (there's all the other stats too) let you plop down a +4 (or 300 HP I believe) into an empty node. The node is unactivated btw, like if you put that luck sphere down then you'll still need a fortune sphere you activate it. You won't get most of those for awhile though.

The boss' (plural) stats scale to kimahri's, you can win at level 1. Steal is good for that battle though.

It lets you place a +4 Luck node on an empty spot on the sphere grid. But you'll need a Fortune Sphere to activate it. You eventually get clear spheres to remove the +1 l,+2,+3nodes and replace them with +4 nodes for star maxing

From memory there is nothing truly missable. But there are two very important things:

1.you'll board a boat from the 2nd town Kilika shortly. There is a minigame where thoughts of Jecht enter Tidus. Make sure you succeed at this. By the time you can get it again it won't matter so much.

2. Activate all the Destruction sphere treasures in the trials. You'll see a glowing eye symbol come out of the chest if it's the right one. There are 6 and while you can return to do them at any time, at least 3 trials become guarded by super bosses. Which makes getting the reward for getting all 6 really difficult

I used Jecht Shot to score a goal early in the game and then camp behind the goalie (with the ball) until the timer runs out. Not sure if they patched this out in the HD remasters though.

This doesn't help if you want to train your team but if you are only going for the key items like how I did then it's fair. I didn't really care for Blitzball all that much.

If starting off try passing the ball safely as much as possible to get some EXP in.

The strength sphere you get for winning in the scripted match makes Tidus a powerhouse.

Theres a boss In the next area/ pathway. I highly suggest you knock it off a cliff instead of killing it. You will be rewarded with key spheres, which will allow you to branch off in other people grids. It's extremely helpful

Tidus can basically solo with the jecht shot and a decent team. It's best to wait until the end though to completely play it. Just win those reels for now and maybe win a little bit more so the climb to get that ultimate weapon won't take so long later in the game

The only team you have to worry about later is the Al Bhed Psyches goalie and there's a way to cheese it and recruit him to your team if you really want to make it easier

There's an exploit to make Blitz Ball games easy. Just get a lead, then wait behind your goalkeeper

Are you talking about the scripted game cause that was probably the hardest blitzball game I played and I got Wakka's weapon. I think I only won by a single point scored right near the end
