People that use it frequently as a discrediting pejorative don't come off as particularly bright. I do it sometimes because it's funny, as I used to be a liberal.

Still am very tolerant and accepting, just a bit more mindful of the hidden consequences of many liberal policies and big government in general (regardless of whether "liberals" or "conservatives" advocate it in some form or another). I'm also skeptical of certain aspects of their ideology, but that's not specific to liberals either.

But even if we have some other conservative figure running third party as an alternative to Trump, there's no way they'd be getting elected. Not in the US.

But Trump was the candidate for one of America's two canon parties. It's going to be a long time before anyone outside of one of those two has anything close to a real shot.

That's what really sucks. Like Ron Paul wasn't a real Republican but he had to run as one to have any sort of legitimacy. Same with Trump, same with Bernie. All anyone can really do is continue to support third parties in the hopes that eventually they'll gain traction. Maybe then the political realm will be more than a 2 team league

Exactly. I'd love to see it happen, but if I'm looking at it realistically, I'd say we've still got a way to go.

It's a shame Johnson had so many gaffes on the campaign trail. I feel like the Libertarian Party's recognition gets stronger every election.
