Dark Samus, Raiden, Lightning, Morrigan, Poison and Dizzy have challenged Diablo and Chrom to a fight! Location of the fight: Arena Ferox (Awakening) - Arena Ferox is as it appears in Fire Emblem Awakening, as an open colosseum. The only areas accessible in it are those within the map in-game. Both attackers and defenders will start at diametrically opposed entrances.. Which side will win?

Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

Rules for Voting

- Bold your votes (using bold HTML tags).
- You do not need to require justification for your vote, though the admins reserve the right to disqualify votes in the advent of obvious alt voting and other similar scenarios.

Diablo has unleashed his Apocalypse attack! All enemies except Poison and Dizzy will be damaged and stunned for the first five seconds of battle.

Morrigan is as seen in Dragon Age: Origins and Inquisition (though she has not drank from the Well of Sorrows), with typical endgame equipment and 3 Lyrium Potions. She has mastered all the spells of the Lightning, Cold, Shapeshifter, Enhancement, Hexes, Anti-Magic, Spirit Healer and Healing spell trees, and Mind Blast.

Poison is as she appears in Ultra Street Fighter IV and Final Fight Revenge, with access to all her super moves, provided she builds up the meter to use them. She will arrive to battle 30 seconds late along with Dizzy.

Lightning is as she appears in the endgame of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, with a schemata set-up featuring a balance of her strongest physical, magical and debuffing skills and equipment, and with limited use of Curaga.

Dark Samus is as she appears in her boss fight in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, although she cannot turn invincible, turn incorporeal or heal off of phazon.

Dizzy is as she appears in the Guilty Gear series, at the height of her powers, with access to all her moves other than gameplay mechanics, and she will not self destruct upon defeat. She will follow Poison's lead in battle regardless of her personality, and will arrive to battle 30 seconds late alongside her.

Raiden is as seen in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with access to all of his weapons (save the Fox Blade) and upgrades available in that game. He doesn't require Zandatsu to recover. He has access to roughly one full bar of energy for Blade Mode and Ripper Mode. He has no mysterious lightning powers here, either.

Chrom is as seen in Fire Emblem Awakening, as a level 20 Great Lord. He is equipped with the Exalted Falchion, Noble Rapier, Blessed Lance, and Gradivus and has the skills Dual Strike+, Dual Guard+, Aether, Aegis, and Rightful King.

Diablo is as he appears in Diablo 3 and Heroes of the Storm, with all of his attacks and abilities, although he cannot turn into his shadow form.

We're in Arena ferox with is very small, Diablo can stun lock and hit his AoE over and over since they started stunned with the SoB Apocalypse he can chain his HotS Apocalypse freely. Chrom is good at close combat so he isnt useless here, he can help as everyone is stunned

Looks lopsided on paper but inclined to agree with this tbqh.

The problem is that the Lightning Hose may not be wide enough to catch the entire enemy team, and leaving Lightning, Samus, or Raiden alive, even if Diablo ultimately wins, means that Dizzy can probably clean up when she shows up 30s late.

She will not engage in combat of her own choice, although this doesn't mean she'll take attempts on her life lying down, and will return fire if attacked first. This extends to being hit by enemy abilities, which will immediately deactivate her passive. This passive is also deactivated if Dizzy is rostered in a high tier match.

Scare is correct. It is currently night inside the terrain. Damus and Diablo will each benefit from a 25% boost to all parameters. Morrigan will also be incapable of being buffed for the duration of today's battle.

Even then the passive is active, its not high teir, the mind control should not override the passive

Actually, it's worse than that scare, the page grabbed for both poison and dizzy for the mercs draft groups was not the original page for them, which required 10 exp for the ultra pacifist removal of high tier, and the 5 exp for the follows all commands. That's a fairly large error :/

There's no error. Poison only needs her upgrade to control berserked clients. Think Majora's Mask being applied to someone, not Dizzy's passive.

Team Diablo

Apocalypse + Red Lightning Hose is a ridiculous opener and the stage is small enough that Diablo can use both quickly enough while the enemy team is unguarded. With his 25% buffed parameters most, if not all, of the enemy team is dead and the stragglers will be too weak to do much of anything. Diablo can then take on Dizzy, and with his parameter buff he should be able to defeat her, but it will be close.

Team Damus. Let's go over the facts.

-Damus is tanky.
-Raiden is tanky.
-Lightning is decently tanky too.

Count to 5. That's how much time Diablo has to inflict damage. Red Lightning Hose is a line. Do you think Damus, Raiden and Lightning die in about one second each? That's the time Diablo has to fry them before they start fighting back, assuming he's trying to dispatch everyone. I give the three of them way more durability respect than that, so yeah...this match isn't close at all to me.

If he's using apocalypse he is interrupting red lightning hose...and honestly I just don't care. Let's just remember that Damus tanks getting shot at to the face by Samus for a long-ass fuckin time, that Raiden gets punched like a hundred times by Armstrong and then gets up and beats him, and that Lightning fights and defeats the broken-ass Caius Ballad. There simply isn't enough time, Scare, and anybody who thinks so is severely buying into Diablo overhype to me. Sorry!

I have no issues redoing the topic if necessary, but really...when you're trying to sell me on a character soloing in five seconds, against some of the tankiest mercs in the game, my tolerance for humoring arguments is kinda low. There isn't a merc I would take to kill everyone on Boko's team in five seconds (maaaaaybe Weltall Id? Maybe? But probably not even though he'd certainly win). Why should I listen to arguments that completely discount what the enemy team can do? Am I not allowed to think a set of arguments is trash?

Well it's not 5 seconds, it's 5 seconds against helpless opponents, against a dude who excels at moves that are very telegraphed but very high damage. This match isn't very obvious imo.
