My foot may or may not be broken. Whatever it is I can barely walk and putting on a shoe made me yell.

I don't even recall doing anything to it. It just started yesterday. Weird bruising on my foot but not too much swelling.

In the time it took me to try and write this topic I already got the early nurse screening so I'm hopeful for a speedy visit.

But my feet aren't swollen. One foot has bruising and extreme pain and barely any swelling. Other foot is fine.

anyways, yeah, her feet kind of go in and out of being swollen, but they're in pain or anything. apparently this happens often to preggo women, ok?

The more I walk the worse the pain gets.

I have a pretty high pain tolerance and a dislike for waiting around so it has to be really bothersome to go to emerg. Getting across the parking lot from the car to hospital doors I was close to tearing up.

Doctor checked it out noted swelling in the one foot. If there's a break it is in one of the small bones in the middle of the foot. Going to get x-rays soon.

Bog, you would imagine that you would notice if you broke something. Maybe you could have bruised it without noticing though, or sprained something I guess.

You would think but I've known a few people that have had broken bones in their feet without realizing it. They kept walking on them and seriously messed up their feet, then had to spend months in a cast. One had a broken bone foot for three years...

The pain level is just so far out of the norm I don't want to risk anything weird going on.

Do they have urgent cares in Canada? I'd probably go to an urgent care for that here but then again maybe you don't have outrageous ER costs. And also maybe a broken foot is much more painful than I think it is

They do but they don't have x-rays at urgent care. That and there's no walk in clinic open here today. In bigger cities there's 24/7 urgent care and very few with x-rays.

It's going to cost me a grand total of zero dollars.

Broken feet parts suck ass, I broke a few toes on my foot like 2 months ago and my foot still looks fucked up and hurts sometimes, the hospital probly won't do anything for you tho

Welp all that and the doctor says no sign of an active fracture in my foot. Potential for a healed stress fracture. Wants me to do range of motion exercises, ice as needed, and follow up with a clinic if the pain continues for more than a few weeks. Next step would be CT and no need to do all that radiation.

Our terrible waits for health care here. In and out in just over an hour.

As well it's up to you. Cats don't need a ton of space. I'm in about 500 square feet with 2. More room would be awesome but it works.

This place is between 600-800 at least. It's feasible but I need to be better at putting shit away after I use it and whatnot. I'm still in unpacking mode so once I get everything in its proper place I can try to start planning for it.

Yeah they do prefer it tidy. That's as much for you as it is for them. The cats will get on or in anything you have out.

You can also do a lot for cats vertically with things like cat trees and cat shelving. Shelving probably not if you're renting. Trees though!

Actually I could fit a cat tree in the corner of my bedroom if I rearrange some things. And I think I'd move my smaller nightstand next to my trash bin and put the litter box on the lower shelf of that.

As long as they have things near windows so they can look outside, they should be fine. Litter box placement is going to be wherever you have room for it and won't be bothered by brief cat poo smells happening. I mean you can scoop it up right away and seal it up but you're still going to smell shit as it happens.

Oh yeah I have huge windows! The sills are kinda thin so I'm not how well they'd perch on them, but they're ceiling-to-floor and look out to the neighborhood and lake. I could shift stuff on my desk to the right side so they could sit on the left edge and look out.
