That is where you get things like BD, VS, and the Legends games (since I think there was arguing about them before too) counting and things like KH not counting.

You can disagree with that logic, sure, but at least acknowledge that the logic is there.

There's little logic to using a fan-controlled wikia page to decide on who is in the series of Final Fantasy and who isn't. Sorry.

For the record, I have less of a problem with Ariana than I do with BD. Hell, probably even less than I do with FF1's classes being allowed. So since both of these things are already in, I mean really what's the point in bothering anymore with petitioning to the host(s) of these things?

No crossover characters.

Allowing Bravely Default in was FFD's executive decision, so I inherited that as well. I know charon thinks I should just be heavyhanded and throw out everything I don't want to be in, but as FFD mentioned earlier, he asked me not to ban stuff that had previously been allowed in, so I have granted that request because I had seriously considered it when I first took over.

and yes a lot of stuff with the FF name on it is allowed but because nobody likes it nobody has bothered to nominate it except for people like swordz trying to nominate that girl from the radio drama no one liked for who knows why

"Things we know are wrong" is a bit stronger than I'd put it, but you've never been very good at nuance or not taking things too seriously.

It's a Save My contest. I can make a compromise on some of my preferences. I'm pretty sure FFD didn't ask me to do anything else for him other than that, and it was no big deal to me, so whatever.

also people getting upset about ariana being allowed in is baffling. well, to be clear, I don't think swordz is actually upset. I think he's pretending to be upset because he wants to use it as an excuse to argue for his non-FF characters to somehow get in even though they are clearly not final fantasy characters.

she was created for this game.

this is why it's impossible to debate anything with people who insist on taking what they believe is the "moral" position. everything they do is just the correct way of doing things and you are inherently wrong for disagreeing with them. therefore it's impossible to actually break any ground in debate. the only outcome is that no one budges or that you gradually accept their version of the truth. it's a very mentally safe tactic for people who can never accept being wrong, but it's not particularly valuable in terms of promoting actual discussions and resolving issues.
