But the last game of theirs that I was able to enjoy was Wrath of the Lich King, which was developed before their merge with Activision. Since that merge, I feel like Blizzard loves money more than they love creating awesome games. Sure, their games are still good, but it seems to me that they are designed with making money in mind first, and being a truly good game second. They really let me down as a consumer with every WoW xpac starting with Cataclysm, I couldn't believe the supreme lack of social features when StarCraft II was released, Heroes of the Storm doesn't touch LoL, Overwatch got boring really quick... etc. For me, I actually kind of resent Blizzard for merging with Activision. I don't know why that happened, but ever since that merge Blizzard hasn't been the same. Blizzard ruined so much of what I loved about World of WarCraft with the release of Cataclysm, and the game hasn't been the same since. This all opinion, but for me personally, I definitely would say that Blizzard is absolutely not the best developer. Not by a long shot. I mean publishers are easier to name off, going by developers there are hundreds that are better than Blizzard. The only place where Blizzard is really great is in the RTS arena.
