I got the Bonestorm pet in WoW not long ago and it's adorable. It just yells BONESTORM!!! randomly as you walk around.

I defeated Marrowgar today with Control Warlock. I got DK Gul'dan from the prologue. Warlock is my least fave class. I'm gonna roll with this for now and see what happens.

I've returned to playing this game for the fist time since Old Gods. I've missed a bunch. I've noticed there's no more adventures. That's gonna save me a lot of gold.

You're more likely to discover class cards, and Operative is the only dragon in Priest.

Quest Mage is in a pretty interesting spot. The current meta stomper is Jade Druid, and Quest Mage eats that deck for lunch. Simulacrum also adds a lot of fun choices to the deck: clone the Apprentice, or the Babbling Book? I've also been messing with a few silly things (current version runs no doomsayers because there's so little aggro and all the control decks have teched in ways to counter the Lich King and/or are priests, which means doomsayers are just 1-for-1 trades, or your opponents are saving up removal for them anyways that, if you don't have the card, they'll never play). Good times!

I'm still not sold on the princes not being hot garbage. They're excellent Johnny cards, but I'll be amazed if we see them in tourney lineups.

I think a lot of that plays into Blizzard's decision in both sets so far this year to have 18 class legendaries and 5 neutrals, instead of 9 and 14. Neutral legendaries can only be so good, after all.

Of course, they printed The Lich King, who at least gives Ragnaros a run for his money -- and is arguably straight up better -- so what do I know.

I cannot fathom playing Zoo with only one 2-drop. But I guess you can sort of fill the void with Forbidden Ritual and Fire Fly?

I'm not really a good judge, though. Zoo just feels bad to me without Power Overwhelming and 4-mana Mal'ganis.

Game 6: Vs Priest. I went First. VERY Strong opener. Raptor into Hyena into Grizzly. Multishot on Turn 4 to help control the board. Crackling Razormaw and Zoo Bot on turn 5. He was not coming back from this. Win.

Game 7: Vs Mage. I went Second. Drew a lot of my heavy cards right at the start. Was not able to gain any tempo at any point during the match. Loss.

Playing a Priest v Priest game and my board is Twilight Drake, Drakonid Operative, Netherspite Historian, Twilight Drake and Bone Drake. My opponent decides to clear my board with Dragonfire Potion.

This is one of those rare mistakes that I've yet to make myself.

Just won a really close 19-turn game as DK hunter against DK priest.

I had him down to 2 health at turn 13 and just couldn't draw damage. He got Lyra out and started healing and stabilizing, so I had to go ahead and play Rexxar for beasts to last in the long game. I went back and forth from thinking I'd win to lose a few times.

He got a damn Twisting Nether from Kabal Courier, which hurt.

My first zombeast was tundra rhino + bloodworm (10 mana 6/9 lifesteal with "your beasts have charge"). Was holding onto that for a finisher but he was always just out of range.

Next I got Oasis Snapjaw + Dispatch Kodo (7 mana 4/9, battlecry deal 4 damage) which gave me some reach/removal but I ended up having to use that to burn a Priest of the Feast off the board, because he still had Lyra out and was going to put himself way out of reach soon. To my delight he used his entire turn to mind control the 4/9.

Next I got Pterrordax Hatchling + Stranglethorn Tiger (7 mana 7/7 stealth, adapt. +3 health).

Once I dropped the 7/10 stealth I was threatening lethal so that's when he had to play Anduin to remove it. Really stung that it got my guy but not the 4/9 he stole.

At that point he was up to 16 and had a full hand with void form, so I was forced to run the 6/9 lifesteal into his face, putting him at 10. Then eaglehorn bow put him to 7, and I had one charge left on the weapon, but no board.

He got me down to 10 and on my last hope I got a 1/8 topdeck and hit Call of the Wild for lethal.


I love that I can actually hang that long with a priest and win as a hunter. Loving this expansion so far.

Had my first encounter with DK rexxar. That hero power seems awful lots of fun.

Also, I noticed when I hit rank 15 that it had a cap on how far you could fall, much the same way it did with rank 20. Is that a thing now, every 5 ranks you can't fall below that rank anymore?

I'm loving this expansion the same way I love every expansion, in that it slows the hell down for the first week or two before everyone settles back in with aggro and one class that's clearly the best. So far it looks like that's going to be Druid. I didn't open up any of the DKs I wanted so I'm still just running Dragon Priest with Lich King and a couple of the new dragons tossed in for testing.

So far my experience with Lich King has been bad. He always seems to be at the bottom of my deck and then gives me either the card that removes the top five cards from your deck to summon minions or the one that clears the board and removes that many cards from your deck. I assume since they don't draw cards that it works like Fel Reaver and I wouldn't fatigue using them late in the game, but I'm never in a position where I can afford to do the seemingly obvious science.

Skelemancer is actually pretty cool. Trying it in Paladin and it's a super annoying target to Steed and/or Bonemare.

Yeah Skelemancer definitely seems good. I've only faced it a few times so far and it's never triggered against me, though. And when that happens it's preeetty bad.

The major issue im having with highlander is that raza has consistently been in the bottom 5 of my deck. It's arguably the most important card in it. Like I have not lost a game where I've played it. But struggle to win those where I don't.

Is Dragon Priest a real deck again? I guess maybe it never left, but I know losing all those dragons when Ungoro came out hurt it a lot.

It did indeed never leave

It just didn't run that many dragons during Ungoro (like 5 or 6?) and was built more like a regular control Priest but had Operative and Primordial Drake at the bottom end

This expansion added the 5 mana 5/5 dragon that buffs attack by 3 and Bonemare which makes your high health dragons deadly

I never stopped playing Dragon Priest, mainly because I wasn't all that interested in Lyra. This is what I'm running right now. I took the Northshire Clerics out for a Cobalt Scalebane and Bone Drake while everyone else is still in their experimentation phase, and honestly can't say I miss them all that much. Also removed Elise for the Lich King to see how he works. Probably end up removing a Potion of Madness as well until the aggro eventually comes back.

I'm still not convinced Bonemare goes in every midrange deck. It's way better than I thought for constructed (basically an easier to trigger Blazecaller that also can make a persistent threat) but also it's probably inflated due to how slow things are right now. Seems at its best in Druid where you have a bunch of idiot 1/5 taunts and 1/2 poisonous minions lying around. But I was watching Dog stream last night and a Water Rogue played it against him, and that seems wrong.

Dog was playing a hilarious deck, btw. Warrior list with Dead Man's Hand, DK, Arcane Giants, Battle Rage, and Blood Warriors to endlessly shuffle in 0 mana 8/8s and draw them quickly.

Tbh I'm not seeing it much where I am (Rank 3). To me, Infestation takes the cake. A Firelands Portal that also draws you 5 cards for only three more mana is just so insane.

I played the old Evolve Shaman from 15 to 10 last night with straight up no new cards at all. Never needed to evolve unless I had Doppelgangster in hand or was super desperate.
