I legitimately don't understand what you're trying to say. Yes, Alex is misted by Paul. And yes, Alex is dumb. But in the context of tonight's events, I don't think her moves were THAT dumb. She's played a shit game and alienated both Kevin and Raven LONG before tonight, and then she got blindsided in a way that Christmas and at LEAST one of Paul/Josh were in on the plan. So she's frazzled, doesn't know who to trust or if she can trust ANYONE, and went with the two people who she had planned on targeting the previous week (who she also has zero working relationship with.)

Basically, yes Alex is dumb, and yes Alex's previous dumb decisions put her in a shit position upon winning HoH, but her actual nominations aren't stupid given the shitty position she stupidly got herself into right now.

EVERY Survivor or Big Brother topic I've ever involved in has a rule that you shouldn't come in until you've seen it or are watching it live. I thought this one had such a rule?

Okay, if Alex put Raven up as a PAWN because she desperately wanted Kevin out, then THAT is fucking stupid. Don't give the people who just fucked you over a chance to do so again. Then again, I feel like Josh & Christmas have done a much better job hiding JUST how close they are, compared to Jalex or Maven, so maybe she didn't think it'd be safe to risk it? I don't know. Again, Alex is in a shitty position due to her own stupidity and hubris.

Also, the one thing I feel really bad about is the fact that Kevin is trapped in the house with these people. WEEKS ago, Paul started planting the seeds that Kevin is a sneak and needs to be shunned, which in this house means completely isolating a person and bullying them to the point of wanting to quit. Yet because he's so useless in competitions, they just keep him around and won't ACTUALLY send him to jury. It's a terrible position for him to be in.

I'm not mad or anything. I was trying to like, "god damn my stupidity," but people didn't seem to believe that it's actually a ToU violation. I usually don't view the topic on Thursdays, not because of trying to avoid spoilers, but just because I usually have other things going on, which I didn't have last night. I've always been under the impression the Thursday show was live, so imagine my surprise to find out it's actually an hour behind for some of us.

YES! Best case scenario. If Josh wants to win, he'll put up Paul next to a pawn like Alex and tell Christmas to evict the kingpin. If Christmas does not (because she's in love with Paul) and Kevin does not, she sinks Josh's game and ensures her own goatitude. She's not as much of a star as she thinks (despite her Arcana being Star) - she does not understand this fandom. She thinks Jessica will "ride the 'stars' to fame" but said so at the EXACT SAME TIME Jessica was filming on the set of The Bold and the Beautiful, a gig that Christmas would NEVER get. It's hysterically ironic.

Basically, I'm saying I am very hopeful that Josh will nominate Paul (finally!), but I am not hopeful that the other sheeple in the house will actually evict the kingpin. Alex is clueless. Christmas is enamored with Paul. The only hope is Kevin. It needs to be a 1-1 tie. Maybe we'll get an actually interesting final act of this season... and a Josh win might be oddly satisfying. If he welches here, then Paul is the only correct winner.

I got to thinking about something earlier.

Christmas put up Kevin under the excuse that he's the only person who hasn't been on the block last week... and there was a scene earlier in the season where Kevin was talking with Jason and Paul and they were mentioning how he was the only person in the house not to be on the block...


So, does everyone have their heads so far up Paul's butt that they don't realize he's never been on the block, or are they combining his seasonal experience and saying he's been on the block because he was in a previous season?

It really sucks, as someone who almost always roots for the women on reality shows, to see the girls this season completely ruin not only THEIR games, but also the games of their various male partners along the way. Jason was cockblocked by Alex all season long, Josh has been cockblocked by Christmas all season long, Mark was waylaid by Elena, Cody was waylaid by Jessica, and Matt sucks all on his own, but Raven is still terrible. The women this season were far more willing to kiss Paul's ass than the men (Kevin aside), and it gave us this endgame.

This was the right move for Josh (besides not winning HoH in the first place). The only way anyone wins after taking out Paul is if they do it at Final 3. Any other time, and they get taken out the week after they take out Paul, since everyone lobes him.

Apparently Paul wants to split the vote 1-1 and have Josh break the tie so Paul can avoid getting blood on his hands? If so Josh should definitely evict Kevin. He's probably going home if he loses final 4 veto regardless and Alex has a chance at beating Paul for final 4 HoH. It sounds counterintuitive but it opens up an additional opportunity to take out Paul.
