why arent you out watching the eclipse?

I'm waiting about another 10 minutes or so for it to get to the highest magnitude I can see. I'm not standing outside staring at the damn sun for 3 hours.

I saw one when I was in like 2nd or 3rd grade, and I believe it was the same type as this one. Even then I was like "oh, ok, cool" and went back inside.

Plus I have to work, being that I am an adult with an office job.

Saw it. Blind now. 6/10, seen better

1. I live in the east coast.
2. There's nothing special about a solar eclipse.
3. I plan on being indoors so I don't burn my retinas while it happens later on today.

It got super dark, but the clouds just came in and covered the Eclipse

I don't have glasses, and you can't really see anything from here anyway.

Good thing for clouds, because I don't have proper eyewear for the eclipse. So depending on the obscurity, I could look at it.

I did. I laid a sheet under a tree and got a photo of the eclipse shadows cast by the sun through the leaves.

I already did. It was sort of anticlimactic. Though, it was cool that the sky to the south was darkened (was only 80~% eclipse here) everything.

Just got back in from checking it out. We only got like 50% coverage here at the peak, so it wasn't particularly spectacular, but it was kinda cool.

I was fitting in my workout just before the eclipse, made it just in time to see it

Never got around to buying any special protection and, honestly, I wouldn't take a chance on it anyway considering the potential for damage. I wasn't even looking at the sun and my eyes still hurt a little today because I was unfortunately out during part of it.

Busy all day in a building. Also was cloudy outside.

it got darker in the house.... was too tired to venture out and look.
plus we value our eyes for the time being. my eyes don't work my gaming career is ****ing gone.
