Next season on Game of Thrones: will Sansa execute Jon for breaking his Nights Watch oath?? Jon walks into the great hall, hands behind his back. Sansa says, I'm sentencing you to death for your crimes, Night King! Everyone turns to look at a shocked Night King standing in the corner

I like to imagine Sansa planning that out with Arya.

"Okay, I'm going to have you stand in front of the bench like I'm judging you, then I'm going to list off a bunch of crimes to make everyone think you're guilty of something. Then at the last minute I'm going to lock eyes with Littlefinger and say his name instead."

If Littlefinger's plan had worked, he would have been in charge of the North, Riverlands and the Vale. That's half the country, and would easily allow him to sweep in and take the Iron Throne.

You mean he would've died to the white walkers

Of course you can present LF as a master if you ignore all the other elements in the show. He was originally impressive because he was able to navigate this super complex system of politics far better and more deeply than anyone, with only Varys really competing. He touched north south eat AND west.

But now there's only like 3 elements in the show, and he can't even deal with 1 of them competently. It was not bad luck or anything that got him. He just became shit.

underrated bit of acting, but bran has become noticeably more human since hitting it off so brilliantly with sansa earlier. he seems to take pleasure in putting down LF and shows genuine enthusiasm with sam.

I feel it isn't emphasised enough how close Littlefinger came to an enormous amount of power. Sansa outplayed him though.

Secret episode MVP by the way is definitely Yohn Royce for telling Littlefinger to shove it.

You give him too much credit. There's no way Littlefinger ever takes the North. The other lords simply wouldn't follow him because he's not a northerner. He always needed a Stark, and all the Starks hate him. He can maybe get away with The Vale and/or The Riverlands, but he put himself in a spot where most of his power relies on the Starks putting up with his shit.

Now that I've accepted the show is simply fan-service and they're simply trying to set up moments for people to talk about on Twitter I can enjoy it for what it is. Some things earlier in the season bothered me, but now that I know it's just going to be all dumb all the time, it's just fun and kind of hilarious.

I honestly thought this entire season has been pretty "bad", even the first few episodes people were going crazy over. I mean they all had some great moments, but after moving at such a crawl through the first 5 or so seasons, very few of these moments seem earned since they're all just happening one after another. Everyone is meeting everyone and having these conversations we've waited several years for, but it all feels so rushed that it's hard to get excited for them. But now that we now they're going to lean in and just end every episode with dragons and other nonsense it's become easier to stomach. There is no reason to hold them to a high standard, it's just silly dramatic television now and I kind of love it.

"When enough people make false promises, words stop meaning anything. Then there are no more answers, only better and better lies."

Felt like such a relevant line. Unexpectedly so for this show, in this season.

Great line. I think the only way to pay off that asinine wight plot is if the nobles of Westeros overthrow Cersei, realizing that she's full of shit, and seek someone who can tell the truth.

That is not going to be what happens, considering that all the lords Jaime was talking to were obvious redshirts, and only characters with names can do anything in this show.

the writers think the "go ahead, get on with it" badass attitude is cool so they give every character this attitude now.

was much better when just The Hound acted like this. now that everyone does it, it's really no longer special. Sandor is still the best at it but well his impact is pretty diluted when everyone else seems to be pretty much uncaring and blunt. alternately everyone is witty and sarcastic which once again dilutes tyrion's role as the witty/sarcastic guy.

This is true
There were confirmed reports of her having 3 dragons even before she reached Westeros
And even if they didn't believe it then, Jaime and Bronn could confirm

Also the dragons didn't exist for how many years? 100? Less?
The White Walker didn't exist for 1000/10000 years so mostly everyone don't believe they ever existed

It's because the guy they got for the Mountain is only really tall instead of crazy tall. I mean, I get that it's probably hard to find a really huge guy, but Jaime is average-sized and the Mountain isn't even one full head taller than him. Put him next to a genuinely tall guy like the Hound and things break down a little.

The Mountain says like four sentences in the entire show, you'd think they could just find a guy who's huge and ignore his poor acting.
