Yes.
Genghis Khan is my favorite historical figure. Koei's games got me interested in Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Chinese history and the Sengoku era of Japan. Especially Sengoku era Japan and Hideyoshi Toyotomi. Further, thanks to Urusei Yatsura and other anime, I've learned about a lot of Japanese myths and creatures. Also in regards to China, the 36 Stratagems, Art of War, The Water Margin (thanks, Suikoden), and other works. India's got some crazy-awesome myths and weaponry (whip-swords? check (Urumi). chakrams? yup. mounting tusk-blades and even god damned canons onto Elephants? Of-fucking-course!) There was a great historical fiction drama a few years ago, Great Queen Seondeok about the titular first female ruler of the Silla empire of Korea in the 600's that got me pretty interested in Korean history, too. Among other things. And I really like learning about martial arts from all over, including many Asian countries. I miss Human Weapon so much... Asian countries make up like half of the list of ones I most want to travel to. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I think the various food interest me the most. I'm Chinese and there are still some Chinese dishes I have yet to try so I got a lot of catching up to do among Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Burmese, etc, etc, etc. dishes.
