August 23, 2017. Hard as it is for me to believe, I have been a member here since 2002, though I have spent most of those years either lurking here or sticking to the individual game forums. High school? Four years. University? Four years. ... Game FAQs? Fifteen years. No idea if I should be proud or ashamed, haha.

And this is where people pop up and say, "Goddamn n00b, I've been here since '96! Fuck you!" Or "I've been here since this web site was a cork board with sticky notes on it that CJayC used to drive from city to city!"

I don't know. Just felt like commemorating that.

Neat! I too joined in 2002 with my previous account. Lots have happened in my own life. Hell, some of my ol guildmates from World of Warcraft have gotten married and have multiple kids now. Sometimes I forget how long it has been. I met an ol professor some months ago during a conference and feels weird that it has been seven years already since I graduated.

I was asking questions here when Final Fantasy 7 was new. Got a replica of Sephroths sword as a prize at the Gold Saucer and people didn't believe it. Could not do anything with it but it was an item.

My account turned 16 recently, but this is actually an alternate I made back after my main got banned. I have actually been on this site since I got internet in my home back in 98. Didn't join the message boards until the summer of 2000 though.

To be honest, I never posted more then like once or twice a month until around 05 when I got a full time office job and needed something to do while I was waiting for code to build (that didn't eat up resources on my machine). Now it just becomes a regular thing.

I remember regularly visiting the Smash Bros Brawl board back in 2006 which was before I had an account.

I reckon a year or two before that I stumbled upon this site. I can't really remember for sure though.

Yes and it would change it slightly every so often and people would complain then get use to it until the other change.

I was a lurker for a long time before I joined and I was mostly on gaming boards, then LUE, then here, left for years to strictly gaming then came back but only recognized a few names.

If we are comparing how long we have been here, I wrote a FAQ with my first account when Diablo I came out (1996 or so). I was gone once long enough for my account to be deleted after that (Think it was more then a year) and had to make this one in 2001.

Think, but not 100% sure, that I posted a bunch when D2 came out, then took a long break and had to make a new account to post for the expansion (I was fairly well known on those boards back then).

Wasn't here right at the start of Gamefaqs but wasn't far behind either.
