Meanwhile $500 is enough for anyone to live on, not comfortably, but homeless would no longer be able to go around begging for cash (They get $500...more then enough to take care of themselves). No more food stamps etc either (thought I would say still provide free meals for kids, and expand that to 3 times a day (even during summer) since it's literally like 39 cents per meal cost.

I would suggest $1,000 a month, but eliminate stuff like cash assistance, SSI (which this is basically to a point) and reduce unemployment (for those who were making around that amount) and make it eligible for anyone making less than a Legit 100,000K a year. Also get rid of EIC from tax filings.

Keep EBT/SNAP (since it's only supposed for FOOD).

I'm not sure on the whole EBT thing really, I think $500 is enough for anyone to easily live off including food.

I'm totally down with making sure kids get food, but I think the $500 a month would be more then enough to ensure every US citizen would not starve, and could even eat fairly healthy, even if they where homeless.

Honestly it would be enough for someone to easily rent a room in a cheap place to live, and still eat 3 meals a day AND have some money left over.

$1000 though, unless we actually hit a point where most menial jobs are automated, would be too much. You can live comfortably on that, and there are too many people who would just do exactly that.

Still need incentive to work, especially for gamers.

Give gamers the option of living in a tiny room with a TV and games, and eating really cheap food, but playing games 24/7 and nothing else (other then hanging with friends etc), or working to live in a better place, and my experience is a very very large number of them will live in that tiny room.

In the end, essentially paying people to just stay home and bother nobody, when those people are not productive and unlikely to ever be productive, makes society slightly better for everyone else. It would certainly be much cheaper than incarceration, which currently serves that purpose.

True, and it might actually create a job market where employees have some power again, which would be freaking nice.

Even highly specialized jobs often have many people trying for each job. It would be really nice to have a demand for employees again, and force employeers to have to woo them.
